Marketing Physical Products Via Email List

Okay, so I've gone from niche, to niche, to niche... Trying to find the digital product that will satisfy my "passion". After months of doing this, I've decided that the only thing I'm passionate about enough to want to do it full time is a physical product that I can make and sell. I can also sell this same type of product as an affiliate for other companies like mine. Eventually putting my own items out there for affiliates to sell.

So...

What is the best way to market a physical item via email marketing? I obviously want to grow a list of subscribers who are also interested in this type of product. It is a consumable, which means I can sell to the same set of subs over and over again.

I LOVE the look of the Sur La Table email campaigns, and would like to do something similar. I've uploaded a PDF of a recent email from Sur La Table so you can see what I mean. The email got kind of broken up in the conversion process, but the main content is still intact. Click here to see the PDF.

Oh, for the mods - There are NO affiliate links (or ANY links, for that matter) in the PDF

Thanks for any and all suggestions!
Phil

Have a look for Garagiste Wine who obviously sell wine via email.

They have a very different style to email, a huge list and do stupid money. Via email.

The beauty of a physical product is you can really sell the benefits (it's not like information marketing where you have to tease but not give away the actually information you're trying to sell).

So you can literally spill the beans and give away loads of information, lots of stories and anecdotes about the product.

    Definitely worth a practise.

    Worst case scenario.

    It doesn't work.

Selling is selling. Marketing is marketing.
It doesn't matter if it's digital or physical.

Big Al mentioned a site that sells wine via email...
sign up to that list... REALLY GOOD COPY.

P.S. Notice how he positioned the business on the squeeze page.
    Really good stuff there.

You can sell any product via email marketing. Email marketing can be used either to sell a physical product or promote any kind of service. To get the best results, you need to focus on writing good email content and segmenting emails lists as per your targeted customers.

List your product on Amazon or eBay and put the link to it in your email campaign. This way you get traffic from your list, from Amazon and eBay
