How to building mailing lists

Hey Guys,

I needed some advice on how to obtain and build mailing lists. I just launced an ecommerce initiative and would really like to know what steps need to be taken to get mailing lists so that I can send emails to the people before I launch my next product.

I heard about landing/squeeze pages and mailchimp but don't really know how all that works and its place.

      No we just launched and it is going pretty slow. So I was looking at marketing via mailing lists

    My thoughts:

    FB Page to Email list to offers - use FB ads to get very targeted traffic. Done this in a few niches and it works great.

    Hey there Safafa

    Since you are in pre-launch stage for your product... that's what you should be promoting right now. Your pre-launch and what your target market will get when you launch your next product.

    In your pre-launch stage you should have a landing page or optin page this is where you will capture their email address.

    You want to have their email address as this is where you will build a relationship with your list.

    Mailchimp, aweber etc are autoresponder email services is where you can capture peoples email address, it will be added to your list and then this is where you can set up an automated email sequence sharing with your list of the upcoming launch of your product. And all the benefits that they will receive from the product... take people on a journey.

    So that when you are ready to launch product you have your list in place and you can market to them but always continue building your list even when you are at launch stage.

    Can use a squeeze page telling them about a free report(10 to 20 pages pdf, don't make it too long) or short free video that'll educate them on xyz, and when they put in their email address and name(optional), it leads them to the next page where they'll watch the free video and at the bottom of your free video will be a clickable button that will lead them to your product.

    For questions like this I recommend a thorough, reasonably priced Course.

    Paul Nicholl's "Avalanche List Building" is a good one.
