MailChimp Automation and Split Testing

Hey Everyone,

This is my first post and it's great to be here. We have an online store we're launching this week and I'm setting up our first email automation using MailChimp (when a customer first joins the list, a flow attempting to turn them into a purchaser). We've done single email campaigns before using A/B split-testing, but I don't know if this is something I should be doing with an automation flow.

Do folks usually test with automations? If so, how do you approach it?

Thanks,
Kev

I don't see anything wrong with automating your responses. It saves time and money and you are reaching your new subscribers on a regular basis. That being said automation is much more efficient than doing this manually in my opinion..

Different topic... But I'd move away from MailChimp if you're in the MMO space. They're notorious for banning any account connected to "marketing."

Thanks for the responses guys, but I don't think I asked the question correctly. I was trying to ask, can you A/B test within an automation like you can do with single campaigns? If so, how do you approach it?

What do you mean by "marketing"?

Just keep in mind that MailChimp bans affiliate marketers/vendors so you won't actually be able to make a single sale through their service.
