Hi,

I've recently started a new website (not IM).
I'm thinking about growing through social media but also by building a mailing list, and drive traffic to the site via this list as well.
Solo ads is therefor something I've considered. I've found a couple of market places where you can by placements, but how does it work practically?
I mean, do I deliver a small advertising text or image, and how do they track that I get the number of clicks that I pay for?
Also, if I use the same provider multiple times, is it possible to do so that it will only be 'new' clicks/visitors that I get?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Thomas

When you bought solo ads from a vendor, the vendor will send a broadcast email to their list. Therefore, you either provide a text promo email to the vendor, or the vendor will write the email base on your offer.

Usually, solo ad seller will have their own tracking software, and they will send the click report to you after they have finished sending your offer to their list. You can also track the click yourself, you create tracking link using a click tracking software (e.g. Quality Click Control), and you provide the tracking link to the solo ad seller.

Another question you need to ask your solo ad seller, is how they build their list, and much new subscribers they are adding daily. If they are adding new subscribers every day, you'll know their list is fresh, and you'll get new clicks / visitors if you buy solo ads from them multiple times...

So, here's a few things you need to know about your solo ad vendors before you buy solo ads from them:
    1) what you need to provide for the solo ad vendor?
    2) how they track clicks, and do they send you click report?
    3) how frequent they build their list, and how much fresh subscribers they are adding daily?

    Hope it helps.

    Wish you all the best!

If you are in IM niche, you could find lots of places with solo ad sellers, such ah:
      - warrior forum classified ads
      - search for solo ad groups in facebook
      - udimi.com
      - soloadsx.com
search in warrior forum, you should find lots of results here...

I'm not sure about non-IM niche though... you may join other markets list within your niche, and contact them if they are selling solo ads...

Hope it helps, and with you all the best!

There is new marketplace called clickonomy by Anik Singal where you can check the package of click and related prices from some well known and less well known solo ads providers. Here you can compare the prices and also review from their user for each providers. So you can have better information before you place orders.

I am not part of clickonomy though, but some my solo ads providers are there as well.

    Hi,

It's my first day in this forum and I'm fairly new to Internet Marketing, so please bare with my ignorance : )

I've got a list built up and I was interested in doing solo ads in the near future but don't know how to do this. For example how to organise the list? How to send clicks out? How to do it in a measured way, for example if someone request 100 clicks how would I do this? Anything else I need to know please share videos and info.

    Appreciate your precious time.

Oh, and Grabcash, if you're new, you won't be able to sell solo ads right away. If someone buys 100 clicks, and you know your list and you get a 10% open rate, that means you'll have to send 1000 emails to get 100 clicks to your buyer's offer.

      It's all math.

The better the quality of the list, the higher your open rates will be, but the more expensive it is to build, but you'll need less people on the list.

      Do you see?

Keep in mind that with solo ads, many sellers send fake traffic, plus even when it's not faked, it's a very good quality traffic. So, if you build your list this way, you will need more people on your list to get good responses.

That being said, I've had fairly good luck going to Facebook group "Solo Ad Testimonials" and buying ads from the top 10 providers for the month. They will be a little more expensive but may work.

I would highly recommend, before buying any ad, that you set up your own tracking software, so that you can track the number of clicks they are sending you. Your software will give you a special link, you then give to the ad seller.

I use Ad Trackz Gold – Ad Tracking and Conversion Tracking Software at it works well for me.

This IS a good way to build your list.

    Hi Tonester,

I appreciate your precious time, thanks for the reply again. I'm a total novice but I was interested in doing solo ads in the near future, can you please advise me how to organise a list? When they say "send clicks" what do they mean by this? Where do you have to send your clicks from? Sorry to bombard you with so many questions. If you can explain in detail how solo ads work please

    Thanks in advance

So, you would set up an account with an autoresponder. The 2 most popular are Aweber and Get Response. I use Aweber and like it, but others like Get Response better. They are both good.

In your autoresponder, you'll create a list, create a form with a "subscribe" button where people will enter their email addresses, and place this form on your website or where ever you want it.

Then, you drive traffic to that page, people sign up through the form and get added to your mailing list in your autoresponder.

In your autoresponder you'll also set up follow up messages to get mailed to your list on certain days, etc.

Once you have a big enough list, you'll be able to email them affiliate offers or send others clicks. You'll simply send an email to your list with a link inside.

How many people click on the link depends on a lot of things, but generally, if you have a list of 1000 people, and 10% of those people are opening your emails, you can assume that 100 people would open an email from you, but not all 100 will click on the link inside the emails.

So, if 100 people open the emails, but only 10% of those click on the link, that means that only 10 people will click. So, essentially, your list of 1000 people produced 10 clicks for the guy/gal you are promoting.

You can see why then, you need a list with a lot of names to send clicks to someone else.

These numbers are for example only. Your numbers could be more or less.
      Hope that helps.

Basically they send an email containing your link and each time an user click on it it will be counted as a legit solo click. Now you don't need to worry about unique clicks because solo sellers have click tracking softwares that will allow them to deliver unique clicks no matter how many times you order from the same person, and they'll also have over delivery too. If you're lucky you may get 50 bonus clicks from just 100 order (happened to me once )

    Hey Thomas,

    Solo Ads are pretty simple.

You go to someone who already has a giant email list in your niche and you buy a "solo ad" from them.

This means they'll write an ad for you or you'll have to supply one.. And send it out to their already gigantic email list promoting your site & product!

It's very effective way to market your business

BE CAREFUL! It's great in theory, but unfortunately their are a lot of people who fake their list or don't have a responsive list. So get reccommendations!! Or do thorough research about the person your buying them from.

But the smallest package first and see how it works & scale up from there. Make sure what you are spending adequates to what you are making in sales.

Ex: If you spend $100 on a solo ad for 100 clicks make sure you are earning at least $100+ in sales. Otherwise you are losing money!!

If you're just trying to grow a list and don't already have an automated sequence setup then don't worry about that number to much.

If you have an automated email system setup leading them to a sale that number is very important to you.

    Hope that helps

    Adam

Keep this in mind: if you decide to build your list using solo ads (or any other traffic source), iniciatilly you might lose money since you are testing (optin rate, OTO's, backend...).. so make sure you test everything from the beginning.

    have a great day
