squeeze page or full website

I have been reading a good bit about e-mail marketing lately and over the years have seen a lot of different ways to try and get peoples e-mail address.

Most often some sort of give away and most of the time the give away is on just a single squeeze page with a sign in form, I have seen a few websites that have a pop up form show up on their home page to enter their e-mail address.

So I am wondering if one is better than the other. And if so is one a lot better than the other or just a little better. Having websites and looking at other peoples websites for Ideas to make mine better it seems like when I see just a single page with a sign up form it makes me wonder if there is anything they have worth looking at if they don't have a full on site.
When I first started working on the internet everyone said I needed a newsletter series and needed to put up a sign in area on my home page and with their guidance I put one in where and how they said it should be.

Six months later I had zero people signed up for my newsletter. They then had me make a single page squeeze page with a sign up form which did nothing either which made me wonder if maybe not everything on the internet or sold on the internet needs to have people sign up for an e-mail list. I mean if you have a very big site with a ton of information on it already what else could you send people on a list anyhow.

I myself have signed up for some lists just to see what happens when I signed up for whatever they were selling and often get nothing but a long mind numbing page of text and other people saying how great the product is and wonder why in the world do people fall for this crap and buy what they are selling and can't believe this really works. Am I missing something, Is this what I need to do on all of my sites or just some of them. Mark

Well you definitely don't need to make a full website. Make a simple squeeze page with an opt-in form. Then you need to advertise that squeeze page in order to get leads. Provide value to your subscribers, help them out, and occasionally try to sell a product to them via your affiliate link, but a product that works and that they will be able to utilize. If you subscribed to some newbie marketers then no wonder they are selling crap. I suggest you check out Vick Strizheus (High Traffic Academy) or some other successful internet marketers, see what their newsletters look like and take them as a good example. Hope this helps

I agree as far as watching video's from Vick Strizheus High Traffic Academy series. Very helpful at teaching you exactly what you need to do to get conversions from your affiliate links.

Well there is a lot of scammers out there so I can't tell you for sure that their programs work as they claim. Everybody nowadays is trying to sell their "secret formula" but only some of it is actually authentic and not a scam.

Hay Peter m96 Watched the high traffic academy video and it is kind of typical of so many of the other guys selling something like it. It seems very similar to what Anak Single is selling and he is selling it almost the same way. The big difference is this guy shows you everything that is inside his site, showing what kind of instructions are inside and kind of how it works. He also has a money back thing and some of the others don't. But again he is selling a plan at least his makes me really think about joining but he is also using the standard technique of it you don't buy in the next 2 hours the price goes way up but many people just can't join either way. Anyhow thanks for the info.

    Hey Mark

yes it gets confusing doesn't it.

You can buy endless amount of courses, programs, trainings whatever you want to call it... but the frustration that I see many people have is like building a list i incredibly challenging. I see alot of people talking about how to build your list for free and have unlimited traffic... blah blah.

I had the frustration as well for about 3 years on how to build a list trying to figure stuff out.

Anyway there are funnels you need in place for all of this to work.

You do need a squeeze page and you need to be offering some sort of solution to your target markets problem.

But you will also need a front end offer and have an ascension business model where you will have higher priced products/programs in the backend.

If you want some help I am happy to help you. I can give you some ideas.

Just send me a message and we can have a chat

      Listen to Tiffany...

whether you have a website or not...you need a squeeze page that offers something valuable to your audience in exchange for their email addy....

your website has too much other stuff going on that your visitor can do besides signing up....

you can always let them know about all that good info on your website after you have their email address and you start contacting them through it........

    Feel your frustration.

    Suggestion:
Paid Traffic: Solo 'Ads: Complete Sales Funnel that starts with a Landing/Squeeze Page.
    OR
Free Traffic: SEO: Complete Sales Funnel that starts with Website/Blog

Paid traffic is quicker. Free traffic takes a little longer.

My suggestion? Start off with Paid Traffic: Solo Ads with Complete Sales Funnel that starts with a Landing/Squeeze Page. Build your email list and get your first sale.

squeeze page or full page website... i will go for squeeze page, thats where all your visitor will focus on that squeeze page, either opt in or leave the page, as for full page website, your visitors might be overwhelmed with all the information and ended up they might not opt in to your page

when you say you do newsletters, did you drive any traffic to your webpage?

    Hey Mark,
Having a Newsletter or Email Follow up sequence is a more personable way of approaching people.
It enables you to have more of a one on one atmosphere.

Once people begin to feel comfortable around you they start to like you ( hopefully if you are doing it right lol).

Once they begin to like you over time they start to Trust you.

When they Trust you that opens up the possibilities that they will buy quality products from you.

Think of your Newsletter as having your own radio talk show

Also remember many times it can take 4 or 5 exposures to one product before people buy. And this works perfectly through email

A website is just a spread out "shotgun" type of an approach for Marketing. It serves its purpose but can only take you so far

I have heard about the follow up e-mails for a long time and do understand but at the same time everyone says try and get your visitor to kind of be friends with you and I understand that as well but why would that make someone buy something I recommend, If that person landed on the page I am recommending all by themselves without me saying anything would they buy what is there.

Also how many times should someone plug the same product before trying something else, do you start with a high priced product first and go lower or go from low to high.

I am also assuming that this doesn't work for every kind of product since you probably do this for a place that sells washer and dryer parts. Mark

It is very much dependent on what are you trying to achieve.

If you going to do affiliate marketing than just squeeze page for sign-ups is fine. After that just point your subscribers to a sales page of a product.

But, if are going to sell your own product, then you have to have a different medium to generate the sales.

Email marketing is relationship oriented medium. While you can generate sales trough emails, you still will never be able to generate as many sales as you can with good sales page. For a simple fact that you cannot put a complete sales page into your email.

    Hello,
Ok to do this right, you will need both, and for a list you will need to offer something good, so you can start small, with a super nice landing page, then later funnel them to up sell and land on main website or land on Facebook landing page. Your list will work, you just need to offer the right stuff.

I think you need more info on how to build a list, nothing is easy here, PM me for more info on this.
    Thank you
