How To Optimize My Email Marketing?? Im Making $6k monthly in my first 4 months but I want MUCH MORE

HELLO ALL WARRIORS.

Firstly thanks for taking time to read this

All comments are welcome, however I would appreciate if all figures are factual and based on real results.

I just wanted to get some feedback and opinions from experienced IM who have a track record.

So here is the just of it

I have my own digital product/membership site where people sign-up/purchase 1 year membership for a one time upfront fee of $97. (I do and will not offer monthly subscriptions or payment plans, it must be a one time purchase)

I launched the website and the product 4 months ago, however the first couple of months was focused on building content and ironing out the marketing kinks and website structures.

My question is about Email marketing: After 2 months of List building

Im generating 300 (name/email) registrations per day for around $50 per day

Im selling $200 worth of product per day (around $6000 income in the last 28 days)

Im mixing high quality information, personal stories, hints & tips and fun facts along with presenting them my offers/products. I have 2 main products (both are mine so i keep 100% comms) First Product = $47, Second Product = $97.

I use Mailschimp to manage my list and these are my results from my auto responder list:

Please note I have 50 emails in the automation and I have them set to send 2 days apart from each other…. No one has come to the end of the automation yet (from the date I'm writing this)

Current Automation Open Rate : 24%

What % of email subscribers over the course of my 50 emails would you expect to buy my product?…
Do any warriors have REAL LIFE conversion rates from their emailing list?

Here are my Thoughts….

If Im generating: 9000 name and emails per month from my marketing

24% Open Rate on the 50 emails = 2160 read my 50 emails over 100 days

What conversion rate would you expect from this level of engagement??

Is aiming for a 10% conversion rate over ambitious??

Time Factor: If you break this down into time, since the buying process will happen in the 50 emails they are getting from me: 50 emails 2 days apart = approx 3 months of email content. (Question: Is this too many emails to send to a list?)

10 % (conversion rate) / 3 months = 3.33% Conversion rate on my list, on average each month (for the 3 months from when a subscriber initially joins the list and actively engages in the 50 emails I send?)

If any of the above points are unclear, please ask and I am happy to clarify

Any thoughts to share about anything I have said, feel free to comment, But I ask again that you only quote real figures based on your ACTUAL experience.

Thanks Guys

Sam

Sounds like you are doing everything correctly. I would scale up the campagns and continue doing what works.

      Thanks

Yes I will be scaling up, however I think im asking a very important question. For example, I included the time factor since its a very big aspect of optimisation that very few IM talk about.

For example: If I have a 3 month buying cycle, then I have to be aware and factor 3 months worth of marketing pipeline into my model.

If I am spending $1500 per month on marketing to generate 9000 names/emails, but my sales cycle is potentially 3 months long, then really im POTENTIALLY tying $4500 in marketing for 3 months while I wait for the the income.

Based on my current results, I know that I will get sales during the 3 months "buying cycle" since some will buy instantly or soon after they join my list. But I am also aware that some will buy 3-4 months after they join. I dont have a big enough sample of buyers to get an accurate average sales conversion time frame yet... is it 6 weeks? 9weeks? 12 weeks?... Only time will tell But ultimately Im glad my product is selling

I believe this time lag between marketing and sales is very important regarding maximising your optimisation and scalability.

      Regards

      Sam

    What is your click-through rate?

If you get 2160 opens and 12% CTR, then that's about 260 clicks.

So your conversion rate is going to based of the 260, not the 2160.

      Hey Diablo, GOOD QUESTION!

however this is what I have done:

In the 50 emails I have a mixture of useful info, tips/tricks, stories and fun facts along with mixing in my offers.... I have around 60 blogs on my website and the blogs that directly teach you about being better in my nieche I turn into full, long emails.

I dont understand why people say to have short emails??? I put the entire blog in the email since they need to know it in order to become better. This way I avoid them needing to click on a link to read the blog, which would lower the percentage of people who would read the info.

This makes sure the key information they are getting from me is getting into their skulls, much more effectively than expecting them to click a link to learn about what I have to say. Does anybody else do this??

I only put links to buy my offers, and my click through rate for the list is 34% from the 2160 opens = 734 clicks...

So looking at this over the (1 month name/email harvest - 3 month buying cycle)

      -9000 emails monthly
      -(buying cycle of 3 months)
      -24% read every (50) emails = 2160
      -34% (CTR) click buying links = 734
-Im aiming to convert 10% of the 2160 / 30% of the 734 (CTR) into sales over the 3 month buying cycle....Is this over ambitious??

I think its achievable if my content is high quality and they have read 50 emails!!!! This is why I put the blogs and high quality/educational content inside the body of the email.

      What do you think??

      Regards

I find shorter emails that leave the user with some curiosity generates higher CTR, which in the end produces higher conversions.

From a data monetization standpoint what you are after seems reasonable. It just comes down to how good/targeted the data is to your offer. Correct me if I am wrong, but what you are saying is...$1500 / 9000 emails, convert 73 over 3 months at $47 = $3431 - yes/no?

However, I acquire data that I'm going to initially promote lead generation offers. So spending $1500 and making $3400 over 3 months is totally realistic and personally I would ideally want to make more than that. But a profit is a profit and you still have the list to continue promoting offers to.

          Hello DIABL0

          Thanks for the detailed response.

          Kinda right:

          $1500 / 9000 emails
50 Email Cycle over 3 months
          9000 @ 24% Open Rate = 2160

          My Aim:
Convert 100 - 150 Sales Over 3 Months at $97. (mixed in to help bolster this will be with affiliate links to other products apart from my own two products)

Im not too far off this at the moment, so Im really trying to do all I can to improve and master the formula and scalability.

One effective but simple technique you can do now is to survey your buyer list. Ask them what their needs are and build a product around that. Check out Ryan Levesque and his book "Ask", he scales businesses into millions by using this method.

That's nice I wish I could be making that much. May I ask how are you building your list of 300 per day? Are you using solo ads or what is your technique? would be greatly appreciated if you answered.

      Hey MarckyZ

No probs. I use FB to generate all my leads. I never took any lessons or courses, I kinda just played with it and figured it out for myself. Now im generating after testing with small amounts and scalling up. $50 = 300 name/emails a day on average. it fluctuates between 250 - 350! Im looking to spend $100 per day in the next few months, once I have enough sample data to give me accurate timeframes and conversion stats.

      I hope that helps

My niche is very specialised and I dont want to divulge specifics, however I have an online e-learning platform. It has nothing to do with teaching internet marketing. Its more to do with teaching practical skills.

            Hey TrafficFlow

I offer free information in my nieche.

Funny enough, I dont give a freebie away when I capture the name/email. My SqPg is a promise to help them achieve a goal/desire. This is the first commitment I get from them....If you do a good SqPg 25%-40% should be a good conversion rate.

After I get the first commitment I then email them a freebie if they "register" (username & Password) to my site. So its just me honing my list down and asking for more commitment along the sales cycle.

But im actively emailing the everyone who registers from the SqPg.

      Hey V Solos: Thanks.

      Facebook:
      I Have a FB page (I post 4 times a day)
      I do boosted posts (20%)
I Pay for traffic to my squeeze page (80%)

This may be controversial but I would advise everyone not to ever pay to promote your FB page or pay for FB likes. In my experience you generate 2-3 times more likes from direct FB marketing to your SqPg and picking up the surplus likes from high quality adverts. High quality Single Adverts on FB are the most effective way to generate likes. Paying for likes directly is a no-no for me!!

Boosted posts are good but I dont do them often. They have the highest engagement rate, however, they are not as robust or have as much reach as a single ad on FB....Again just my opinion.

      Regards
