Is it possible to remove bounced email addresses ...before sending out emails?

I have a problem.

I have an old email list which i have decided to re-engage with recently. I sent out a few test emails to portions of the list to re-engage the subscribers. I was testing to see what was the best way to re-engage portions of the list before i emailed the whole list again (which is 20,000+).

However, i'm finding that about 15% of the emails i send out are bouncing. Aweber doesn't like this and stopped me because of it.

This leaves me with a problem. I now have a list of 20,000 subscribers which i can't email because too many of the emails (15%) will bounce.

Is there any way to remove the bouncing emails from my list BEFORE i contact the people on the list? This way when i send out the emails, the ones that are bouncing will be gone and aweber will be happy with me again.

...otherwise i can't use my list anywhere.

Simply, set your auto-responder to remove any such people/emails who won't open
your followups after a specified number of days. Another way to get around this is
to use some "email verifying" service from some company. There are such companies
who verify emails for you and they remove technically bouncing emails. There are such
softwares as well but they are not very effective.
If you download/take a backup of your subscribers list and pass them through some
squeeze page to clean them? You'll use some another email sending software or
autoresponder company for sending them emails then.

i think is better that you send all your subscribers in another squeeze page to filter out those who are still active in this list which has 20,000 subscribers in it.

or check with aweber's support team to assist you on how to solve the email bouncing issue

Get some cheap mail software / vps and send from it and collect the bounces.

Make sure the IP you use has rDNS set up.

Your deliverability (inbox/junk) doesn't matter, as you just want the bounces and you will get either way.

However, with only 20K, it may be cheaper using a service. I would just want to make sure that they get good results.

Yes, you should check your list with an email verifier software or service. There are online services like BriteVerify or FreshAddress that can verify your list.

If you prefer not to upload your email list to a 3rd party database, you can consider desktop email verifier software like Advanced Email Verifier from http://www.glocksoft.com/email-verifier/ that can be used in integration with the 3rd party service BPSocks through API. This method is cheaper than online services.

In Aweber you should be able to unsubscribe bounced ones, try this out go to:

Subscribers > Manage Subscribers > Undeliverable (on the left menu) > Click on the top checkbox to check them all > Click on unsubscribe (or delete)

Let me know if that worked for you.
