Starting Out w/ Email Campaign

When you start your email campaign do you need to explain your niche to the subscriber in your emails?

Do you assume that the subscriber already knows the subject and you just give them guidance and sell them evergreen (newest) products?

Say for affiliate marketing... do I need to explain what it is and how it is done?

Never assume your subscriber already knows your niche/subject in depth. By subscribing they've expressed interest in the subject. So how would you start talking to a friend who asked you to tell them about your niche? Give them some overview information, and tips based on your own information. And certainly at first you shouldn't sell too strongly. Just build it in naturally over time, as you build your audience. Good luck!

It really depends on your site and who you are targeting.
In the am niche if you are targeting completely newbies, then maybe you should explain it. If you are targeting people who know the niche, then probably not. It's hard to say without knowing more info.

      ChrisBa....& fellow WF members,

What I would like to do is promote all aspects of A.M. and there is a lot to that, however it could be good for there are more products I could promote.

My question now is how do people find your squeeze page? Can the niche get targeted to say just list building?

If your free gift is on list bldg. is that all you would want to market to them?

If I am going broad like the A.M. niche overall what would you suggest I start promoting first for the broad niche?

First off, very few people will hand over their email address if you don't impress them through your website. So if they don't have a good understanding of how you can help them, then they won't be opting in. So the answer to your question is NO, you don't have to re-explain your niche.

But then when I look at your follow-up reply, I realized that you're on the completely wrong path anyway. People don't just opt in so you can send them emails about things to buy. It doesn't work like that. First you have to build up trust, show your subscribers actual value and let them see that you're an authority in affiliate marketing.

Which brings us to the real problem- you're a noob in internet marketing, but you want to pretend to be an expert and sell things to people. I can say without a single doubt in my mind that you'll definitely fail.

So instead of asking how to get traffic or how to sell to them, you should be asking where to learn about internet marketing so you can offer others some value. You're getting way ahead of yourself though and completely wasting your time, so I won't go any further with instruction.

The bottom line is that if you don't know your niche, you can't be successful in it.

Nope.... because they are already opt in in your list... they know what they are looking for, that's why they are looking forward to get some information from you...

i can say most of them do...BUT.... information is what they are looking for.... so for start... lets not try to hard sell products to them... give them more value and information....

just a brief intro will do... because the products that you are promoting... they have their own sales page to promote it...

If you are properly Marketing yourself and your Niche you should NOT have to explain the NIche again. They should already know when you made that initial contact with them i.e squeeze page, optin on webstie etc..

Of course you will continue educating them in future emails about problems within that Niche that they might not quite understand or have a solution for
