Hi guys! I'm going to share my plan to build a list and my ways to try making some money out of it...please tell me if you think it is going to work

1. create a squeeze page for a freebie graphics pack related to an affiliate i want to promote
2. buy solo ads (related to IM niche) to my squeeze page
3. collect opt-ins to my list
4.deliver the freebie, and in the same freebie email i'm going to recommend on my affiliate product
4. continue sending similar proposals and discounts and make my list bigger

I'm a web designer so i can create a lot of graphics packs... on what would you recommend of? what do you use the most?

The concept is correct. But you have to "test" it.

What I mean is, you have to test the squeeze page and improve the conversion rate.

You have to test the traffic source, ie. solo ad provider. Some provider will send you bot traffic which will burn your hard earned money. Test it and you'll know which provider is good.

You have to test the email title.email body and call to action. And what kind of products convert better for your list.

    It's all about test.

There's just a couple of things I would suggest. First, be careful which solo vender you use as many of them are full of freebie seekers. You may get a good optin rate but actual sales can be quite low or non existent.

Rather than trying to sell straight away in your emails you need to build a relationship with your list and continue to provide value to them through good, useful content. Otherwise your open rates will drop and the optins you have paid a lot of money for will quickly disappear.

Excellent tip. What autoresponder service you recommend for such lists? I suppose mailchimp does not allow such type of marketing if I am not wrong

This strategy works. It's been used by many marketers for years. But you will have to test and tweak
to optimize everything and turn it into a successful strategy. And I mean, A LOT of testing and
    tweaking. All the best.

Two things you need to be done to be successful in List building

    1. Testing
    2. Conversion

You need to test your squeeze page, traffic sources, email followups etc and also
increasing your conversion of traffic, leads or sales will determined your profitability.

The process you have outlined is correct, but nevertheless you can also add some more tricks to increase profit, which is currently i am working on.

The one thing I would add is that it will be VERY difficult to recoup your full investment price, if you are promoting your first offer in the email. Even more problematic when it's offered after they see the freebie.

The best way to go is to create a system that pays for itself. Redirecting new subscribers to a cheap new offer with mid-ticket upsells is the formula that's worked best for me.

If you made $2 for every $1 you spend, how much money would you invest?

That's the whole secret with this strategy. Keep testing and tweaking until you have a lead generation system that pays for itself. Then you can build a virtually unlimited email list.

    Hi
that formula is great but I would suggest to add a little more in to that,
Starting with squeeze page if you never built one before the there are many solo vendors who build a squeeze page for you for no extra cost and guarantee about 30/35% optin rates. if you don't get that optin many offer double your money back..

decide how you want to do this, the next step will be to add a bridging page, when a new optin comes to a new subscriber like your self they don't really know you so a bridging page where you got a video of your self thanking them and they get to know you a little better.

Its great that they have received there freebie and they like that. If you start promoting a product straight after that then the chances of them buying your product is very little.

There is a proven strategy call the KLT
    K=KNOW
    L=LIKE
    T=TRUST

They know who you are after the bridging page and they like you because you gave them a freebie that adds value to them.

Your next job is to email them on a daily basis and let them get to know you more and give them great value tips and may be more free stuff like E-BOOK or a Video in the niche that can help them solve some problems with valuable information...

When someone in your list KNOWS you and LIKES you, after them getting great value they started to TRUST you.

In my experience this method works well and sales will double or may be triple if done correctly. If you can build this emails before hand like a funnel style in a Auto-responder and then focus on traffic then that would be more easier for.

From there you can focus of testing the emails changing them around that works best for you.

HOPE THAT MADE SENSE AND HOPE I WAS HELPFUL

Great post, Munir, thanks a lot! I´d like to add just one thing: I agree that building a relationship before you start selling is the better way.

However, my experience is that it depends very much on the traffic. If your subscribers are on too many lists and not interested in building a relationship (they just want to get the freebie and then don´t open any of your emails), this won´t really work very well.

If that´s the case, you might want to try selling them something from the very beginning. The chances that they buy are still low, but at least they´ll see the offer (which they might not do in your future emails).

So, my advice would be to test different approaches and track what´s working best for any specific traffic source.

Maybe it's just me . . . I'm a little confused. If you're a web designer, wouldn't you want to be trying to sell your web design services? And if so, doesn't giving away graphics packs cater to the do-it-yourself crowd - the people that are not going to come to you to design a site?

    Have you thought this through?

I believe OP was referring to launching a free plr wso to boost his graphics business. These customers would then hire him for customization and stuff. I would be happy to be corrected though

      I would heed Steve's advice.

Sounds like you have a niche that you have experience with and you should really focus on that, imo

Yuv102 the strategy is sound, just make sure your solo ad vendor is giving you real clicks from real people. Also diversify your traffic strategy just in case your solo ad adventure turns out to be a money gusher.

If you can't write some simple emails with tips and strategies, then hire someone who can. There are a ton of freelance sites out there. Starting with freelancer.com.

If you create graphics that people use in other tools such as all the video creation software's that are out now then you'll have people with a huge need.

Most marketers make videos of some form or another.

That is the standard formula most marketers use and it can be very successful or unsuccessful depending on your squeeze page, email swipes, traffic source, etc. What you will need to do is optimize all of the mentioned areas by researching and testing to see which one converts the highest.

After creating a squeeze page, the next step is generating traffic to your squezee page. You will use solo ads as your traffic source, you need to test... test... test... many sellers of the solo ads. And find best CR (conversion rate). Don't forget to try also other traffic methods for growing your list.

    Ok, couple questions:
    1. Say I redirect my optins to an instant offer, they don't buy. Do I continue to promote that offer to them in follow ups? Or try another offer?

    2. Does anyone recommend a good solo ad provider? Preferably from the community here?

I am setting up a site and would like to know what wordpress theme to use. I already have all the content, but don't know how to format the first page that people come to. Is it supposed to look like a long squeeze page, or is short and to-the-point a better approach?

    Thank you

    Hi There,

My advice is find the traffic first,go searching forums, facebook pages and groups
Find out exactly what people want ask questions. Do not promote just find out from people what they need graphics wise. Answer their graphics questions for free. Make up the graphics packs and give them what they want.

Why you ask? If you don't first find your traffic before you create the product
how are you going to know if its what they want?

No point creating a beautiful website and graphics packs and it just sits their looking pretty

Hope this put different ideas in your head and took you in a different direction

    Wish you luck

Hello. Total newbie here so I would like to ask a question that hopefully can help someone else as well. Thanks for starting this thread, lots of valuable info here from a lot of people. Where can I get a "how to" on delivering the freebie to new subscribers. I have a landing page/squeeze page but the current one I have goes to an offer I'm promoting with solo ads. I would like to start building a list to my own blog I have yet to start and offer a free report or free software. Thanks in advance.
