How to Sell (Market) an Email List of 7,000+

I have an email list of 7,000 plus members but I'm really struggling to actually sell it. I tried Flippa here, but that's not good because Flippa is based on websites and the sites that built these lists aren't great anymore.

I'm looking for any place online (as well as any tips/experience you have) on how to sell marketing lists. Are there any stats I should share? I have Aweber for managing the lists.

It's mostly gamers, with a sprinkling of online marketing.

Thank you and I really appreciate any advice you give me!!!

and you will continue to have trouble selling it. People have to ask to be on someones list. If I or anyone else buys the list it is worthless, because they did not opt in to "OUR" list

From the past two days I have seen numerous people warrior forum searching for an email list..... That prove there is no better place better than this form to sell an email list...

My suggestion for you is to create a thread on warrior special offers hopefully you will get a lot of response there... Plus you must save a lot of people from purchasing scrapped email addresses that may do no return on investment to them.

    Thank you very much...

You didn't mention the origin of those 7k+contacts you have.

How/who/why/where/when did they subscribe to get on the FIRST (original) list?

That tidbit of info matters a LOT.

I would try to survey them or find some other aspect of their lifestyle choices that you could segment them into a different lists.

Put together complementary material for those interests and monetize that while you are selling solos.

If you can find out what magazines they like you might be also be able to use Alexa to check for those complimentry demographics and interests

Why don't you try marketing to it? CPA offers would be probably work extremely well with a gaming list. I used to play a lot of video games and if I get an email in my Inbox telling me I could win a free console, or get free Xbox live I would jump on that quickly.

My first thoughts are....do they know they are on this list? Second, if they do...why don't you just market to them yourself? Sounds pretty valuable to me..

  • Wow thanks everyone for the replies and sorry that I didn't respond right away. I'll check everything out and respond to any inquiries. I wasn't trying to sell it directly on this forum, but rather look for information on what to do next.
