How do you do Product Launch Formula (PLF) for 3k email list?

Hi All. I was hoping you nice people who know a lot more about this than me.

What platforms(s) are you using to do PLF stages?

Looking at the Tools Jeff Walker uses e.g.
1) Shot Across the Bow (Email pointing to survey) - Maropost / (not sure about survey - survey monkey)
2) Response to Survey - Maropost
3) Squeeze Page - Lead pages
4) PLC1,2,3 Video with facebook (lead pages)
5) Video 4 - open cart (not sure what Jeff uses here, I'd use Stripe/Paypal)

so I figure the costs are
Marapost - around $500 / month
Leadpages - $40 / month
Video hosting - http://wistia.com $25 / Month

And, non of these things talks together, so you can't get a full picture of responses / page loads from step 1 to 5. Leaving quite a bit of manual work.

Any suggestions of what you guys use?

    questions... is there a need for the survey?

    is the leadpages your own? $40 per month kinda expensive...

    in my opinion
    you are doing a product launch... why dont juz sent them to the product page... rather than send your subscribers to fill up the survey form?

    As far as pricing going, I think you went a little bit overboard.

    For surveys, it doesn't have to be $500 month, you can get something like survey monkey for $30 a month.

    Lead pages, consider that you are going to run the campaign over time and advertise your sales/squeeze page for a while you can get something like InstaBuilder. Easy to create pages and has built-in statistics which is important because you surely will have to optimize your page.

    If you are good with HTML, you might even do the pages yourself.

    Video hosting look at Amazon S3, up to 5gb free, you can host your videos there.
    Even better you can host videos on youtube and make it private. That way only people from your list who has the direct link can access those videos.

    On a note of product launching, if I were to launch product today I would do about the same as per your list, but I would add webinars to it. Nothing can beat face to face interaction with your potential clients.

      Thanks for your help guys.

      Well I started making my own survey page and way of managing lists...

      But the instabuilder looks fantastic so I'll investigate that more .

      I still like the idea of making my own, but I guess that's because I'm a skin Flint!!!

        I loved Launch book but I am not sure about survey.. I mean whats the % of people who will open the email then click then complete your survey ? And among these few.. how many % (from survey people) will open next email , click and buy ?

        I loved the book and I picked many methods from it . But a survey doesnt look necessary. Have you ever bought a single product in your life because the vendor shared a survey with you ?

          I see what you mean Egyfitness.

          Although I think the main point of it was to sense check what you were going to build/do.

          I did send an email to 300 of our most recent customers practically begging them to give me feedback about the products, and over 100 replied... so I do think some people would do it... If I beg!

          Well, how about I let you know.

          Since the survey is such a simple thing, I've knocked that up myself in MVC asp.net.

          Now just writing the 'copy prospects to email campaign' part....

          next actually sending the email!
