Signup forms for email lists?

I just wrote a blog post about email list signup forms and I'm wondering if I missed any.

Here's my list:
  1. Welcome mat
  2. Feature box
  3. Popup
  4. Exit intent popup
  5. Content upgrade
  6. Top bar
  7. Embedded form
  8. Sidebar
  9. Slide in
Can anyone think of any others?

    sign up forms you only need their email address in a simple website... any reasons for making it so complicated?

    Nathan, looks like a fairly comprehensive list. Glad to see you included exit intent pops, some find them annoying but they're effective.

    You might consider fleshing out your post with a bit of info on how a strong incentive/lead magnet being prominently featured will increase signups. Would love to see your post when it's live.
