Autoresponder with Info Merge
Hello everybody,
Im looking for an autoresponder that has the possibility to merge subscriber-unique information into emails. The subscriber-unique information is not information provided by the subscriber, rather information i have on the back end.
The purpose is distribution of unique discount codes.
At the moment the process looks like this:
Front End
1. Subscribers receives email about an offer.
2. People interested "claim" their discount code by clicking a button/link in the email
3. Button / link takes them to a Google Form that they fill out
4. Subscriber receives unique promo code by mail
Back End
1. Campaign goes out to list
2. Information put in by people who "claim" discount code goes from Google Form to a Google Sheet.
3. The Google Sheet is pre populated (by information merge from another Sheet) with the unique codes, linking each subscriber to a different discount code as they claim their coupon.
4. The row update (sign up) in Google Sheets triggers Zapier (a Trigger - Response App) and the subscriber, including promo code, is subscribed to a new list ( Offer X List)
5. Subscription to Offer X List triggers a series of emails. The firsts one containing their discount code (pulled in with Merge Tags), and following emails are basically just reminders.
Im currently using MailChimp.
This system is has its downfalls and I want to move to a more simple one.
The distribution of the unique discount codes is the core issue. Due to the fact that the codes at the moment has to be pulled in from a google sheet through a trigger app, my subscribers to have to enter their email and name every time they want to claim a discount code, causing unwanted friction.
So, what I wonder is if anyone knows of an autoresponder that can:
A. Pull/Merge information from an external source into an email, or
B. Lets you mass-add information(not add them one by one to each subscriber since we're talking about hundreds of discount codes) to your list on the back end that can then be merged in to the email.
Alternatively:
Im planning on looking into making the claiming of the discount codes web based rather than email based. However, i dont know what this function would be called / what specific skills to look for if i hire a freelancer to do it. If anyone knows the wording for a function like this, please let me know.
