Email marketing is now more used even than before. All the sites that people use to sell their service are usually linked by emails. Mails are being used each and every day and I dont see that stopping. All you need to do is have a good strategy to get the email subscribers and the rest your marketing team should ensure that they use their skills to attract buyers.

Email is essentially the modern way of what used to be sending physical mail.

Getting an email address is personal and opens a gateway for trust to be built.

If you want to build a following about a certain topic then create a squeeze page with a free product and have your first email in the autoresponder deliver that product to them immediately. Then send them an email 1-2/week in the form of a newsletter like tips & tricks about your niche and then send them to a Facebook page once you've built a sizable list and that's how you build a community.

If you want to do email marketing just to have a followup sequence that gets someone to buy a product at the end of it.. Then create your squeeze page with the free product to giveaway and have your first email send them that free product immediately. Then have your "Thank you" page be an affiliate offer. Then have your followup sequence give some immediate tips that they can use today to make a difference in whatever your niche supports. Send a couple of those tip emails and let them know that you're going to offer them a product that they can get that has a complete system for them to follow and then send them that offer.

That's pretty much it when it comes to email marketing. It's the cornerstone of any online business & it's vital to every business on & off-line.

Email is a tool, not a method. Email will keep working as long as...

1) people still receive email (i.e. spam filters/firewalls/blacklists don't block you)
2) people care enough to open your email (i.e. they know/trust you enough to at least open your email)
3) the message is compelling

Email Marketing is still alive but many people just don't know how to monetize their list. There is a lot of money to be made with email marketing because people will always check their email and if they give you their email address then why not cash in on it? They want what you have so you get rewarded for it. What people fail to understand is that there is A LOT of work to do upfront so you can then put your campaigns on auto pilot. You need AT LEAST a months worth of responder messages setup and ready to go out to your subscribers. I know a lot of people that have missed out on a lot of money because they didn't have enough messages going out and then left their readers wondering where they went and then unsubscribed. I'm not saying you need to have them all done up front but you need to at least be pumping out 1 or 2 prebuilt messages a day to keep up with your subscribers. ( Be sure you are giving VALUE and not just stuffing offers down their throat. You want like 3-4 emails of value, then a offer email.) Once you have it all in place you can then tweak your landing pages for a better opt-in rate and watch your business grow.

If by email marketing you mean the usual email marketing of spamming then no it doesn't, research shows 0.03% response rate, which is a total waste of time, money!

I've been doing it for over 15 years and it's still extremely profitable!

I do things a bit differently than most, in that I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead) offers rather than trying to sell something. With PPL offers no credit card is required to complete an offer, all a user has to do it fill out a form for me to make money. So conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that requires a sale. Basically I'm just generating leads.

Anyway, just thought I would add that, as most have no idea that you can make a lot of money by simply providing information that is already in high demand and doing through email is so effective, because you can follow up over and over and promote additional offers for little cost.

No matter how advanced technology gets and social platforms get, people will always use and check their Email Address. Because it gives them a more Personal Feeling of receiving content.

Just ask yourself, would you ever get rid of your Mail Box? ... do you think paper mail will ever go away? .. I don't think so. Because receiving paper mail is really personal. It is the same concept with online mail.
