Best Free List Cleaning Software or Site

I have a list of approximately 100,000 addresses. I need to run the list through a cleaning, verification system, so that the bounce rates are low enough for Amazon Web Services.

If the % of bad email addresses is too high, they will suspend the account.

What is the best too to do this? I've found various services who do this, but it will cost between $250-$500 to check the 100,000 emails.

Can someone help me out please?

Anyone? If there are no good free options, maybe someone can point me in the direction of the best software for the price. I rather make a one-time investment in some software, instead of paying an online service each time I want to check and clean the list.

    Any help is appreciated!

Thanks. I appreciate that, but I need to test approximately 100,000 so I can't really input each one at a time.

Does anyone know of a good software or even better a free service? I keep seeing it cost around 100,000 x $.005 per email = $500

I hope there's a cheaper, better way. Anyone?

You could get a cheap vps / mail program and send the list. Just make sure the IPs aren't blacklisted, have rDNS set up and not blocked by the large providers. Doesn't matter if all your mail goes to the spam folder, as all you want to do is collect the bounces. If it's a crappy list you could end up getting blacklisted, greylisted, etc....

Another alternative is to find an address verifier that goes through the steps of mailing, but once the smtp returns that the the address is OK or not, it then disconnects and checks the next address in the list. This way it never actually sends any messages. This won't work with yahoo, as their smtp requires you go through all the steps before returning if the address is OK. But with yahoo you can easily send and junk and verify. Ideally you want one that you can run from VPS IPs. I have seen ones that let you use proxies, but not sure how well that works.
