Help me on this issue, email marketing

Hi,

i have a host and i'm using that host to send emails, i have coded my own mailer but the problem is that every email is going to junk in outlook, it works great with gmail.
even a simple email "hi this is just a test" goes to junk, i don't know why, should i change my nameservers ? will that help ?

    You should check your mail headers. If there are softail errors this could be part of the problem

    Hi, hisoka --

    Question for ya... Are you sending from a free account yourself (Gmail, Yahoo, etc), or from your own domain email?

    That alone can make a HUGE difference in deliverability...

      Hi,

      I'm using both, SMTP gmail and my own domain, same result always going to junk in hotmail !
      when i send to gmail it goes to inbox, when i send to hotmail same msg it goes to Junk

      Also, What's the difference ? can you please tell me

        The email providers will identify where the email is coming from by the IP address, and email originating from some of the free services isn't always considered favorable, and so can go straight to junk when that IP address is 'flagged' (Which is actually kind of funny -- one free email service 'flagging' another free service...silly, but happens all the time).

        And if your domain hasn't had any warnings or problems, then likely that is fine (we already know that, since you said you've tried both).

        Few more questions...

        Did you switch hosting companies and/or autoresponders recently? Or more simply, did you change ANYTHING from what may have been working before?

        And actually, did this just start happening -- deliverability was fine before?

          No, I didn't switch hosting companies /autoresponders !
          The webhost is still new and this is the first time that i'm trying to send with this webhosting, i don't know what's wrong with outlook, i mean everything is ok but outlook just keep my email away from inbox to spam with no reason.
          Can this be from the mailer that i have coded ?

    Some mail services will look at a free email (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) sender and say, "Hey...wait a minute. This could be spam...." You're more likely to get through using your own domain - though that is not a guarantee.

    This is one of the benefits of using a paid autoresponder service, since they manage a lot of the deliverability issue for you. But I'm impressed that you coded your own!

      Thanks, The mailer took me 2 months to code, it have all features like tracking and autoresponders you can even create multiple squeezepages, but like i said i have a problem sending my newsletters.
      So i think the best way is to switch to aweber ...

        Aweber or GetResponse would have better delivery rates, true. But still. That's pretty awesome that you can do that. Have you thought about selling your coding services?

          I have never thought of this, but if someone asks me to buy coding services then yea why not.
