"Responsive" emails in Mailchimp?

Hi there, I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm not making a hash of things first time around.

I've been using Mailchimp for a few years now, mostly sending out simple newsletters and mailing campaigns to my small (3k) subscriber list.

The thing that's bugging me is that my campaigns look great on a desktop, but rubbish on a phone. The reader constantly has to scroll left/right to read all the text. I've tried creating new templates, using existing templates, all sorts, but nothing seems to make much difference.

Can anyone help?

    The tough part with some third-party mailing solutions is that they sometimes don't allow control of style sheets in a head tags of an email's HTML.

    I actually design responsive email templates. It's one of the services I provide, but I've run into trouble with some clients who say their third-party mailing solution ends up messing with their head tags.

      Thanks for finding the Mailchimp article. This is exactly the kind of problem I'm having. The article on Mailchimp describes my problem exactly (mobile friendly v's responsive...mine is the former and NOT the latter) but doesn't explain how their templates can be one, but not the other. What am I doing to their template to stop it being responsive, or maybe their templates aren't responsive in the first place?

      In other words, what are the physical attributes of my newsletter that make my email mobile-friendly, but NOT responsive. What do I need to do to change it?

      Here's a link to my newsletter. As you can see, I'm not doing anything clever, far from it.
