My first campaign stats

These are the stats to my first time mailing my list. Should I keep going with this list? It's in the money making online niche. Theses stats don't look good to me. What would you do?

Total sent:1,162
Total bounce: 30 (2.6%)
Complaints: 1 (0.08%)
Open rate: 33 (2.9%)
Click rate: 33( 2.9%)

Again this is the first mail I sent them

    It looks like a freebie seeker list. In my opinion, you can continue to grow this list and use it for sending traffic for I.M. niche related websites or you can also try to send traffic as a solo ad vendor too if your list size is big enough later.

    That open rate is absolutely horrid! Since you mentioned this was your first email, with a list of over 1,000 means you either bought the list or got screwed on a solo ad.

    I would probably send a few more emails. See who is opening and clicking and then get rid of the dead weight (since you don't want them skewing your stats or costing you money) then work on building up the list properly.

    You're in the MMO niche, yet you're completely unfamiliar with using a mailing list?

    You need to work on your open rate.
    This maybe improved by:
    1. Create an engaging subject line
    2. Write quality content
    3. Send from a person, not a company
    4. Avoid spam filters
    5. Segment your list carefully
    6. Keep your list fresh
