Emailing previous customers
I am a small local contractor and I have email addresses for just about all of my previous customers. Out of all of those email addresses, I put together a list of about 100 that I would like to send an email to advertising a service that I know they need and think they would like (so it's semi-targeted).
I would like to know if it's legal for me to send them an email and if so, how do I go about doing it? I assume just BCCing all of them from my Gmail account either wouldn't work or might make me look like a spammer.
FWIW, I have used their email address in the past for sending estimates, invoices, and receipts. I have also communicated with many of them via this email address. However, I don't have any type of privacy policy and haven't had them agree to anything.
