How can I start Email Marketing?

Hello,

You can look up a guy called Ben Settle, he is one of the best email marketers, I'm one of his subscribers.

I write 1 email a day to my list, telling stories and pitching my product, connecting it to the story.

It gets great open rates, people get entertained and you make sales.

It doesn't matter if you don't have a list, you can build one just by writing 1 email a day.

You can find absolutely everything on this forum. Unfortunately, most of the valuable posts date back from the 2010-2012 era, when the WF was really one of a kind. But the search function is your friend, as some say.

People I would follow are: Alexa Smith (now banned), John McCabe, Shaun O'Riley, Myob, and other people you the aforementioned names agreeing with. You can really learn a lot from them, more than you could learn from a WSO.

For the price of a coffee, you learn pretty much everything you need to know about the dynamics of email marketing.

Look man, if you want to start a successful email marketing campaign you need to make sure you have a few key things in place:

A good front end offer to exchange for someone's contact. This can be anything. Just make sure it is something your particular customer is looking for, and something you can provide with no extra effort on your part.

Second, is you need to put this offer in front of your perfect customer. Wether this is through paid advertising (FB ads, ppc ads, the list goes on...) or through content marketing (blogs, twitter and instagram feeds, etc.) or through the fastest and my favorite: affiliate marketing.

It doesn't matter which way you choose so long as your offer and message match the medium and convert.

When it all converts, you start building a list faster then you can shake a leg.

And then you take care of that list.

You care for that list like it's your f*cking baby!

After all, they are the ones that are going to make you a happy dude

Email marketing is cool because it's like money in the bank. Even if your website gets closed or whatever else may happen, you still have a list that you can market to.

If you have a website- put an opt in on it (above the fold) and offer a free gift such as an ebook. You will need an auto responder like aweber (what i use).

Stay away from offers that say 10000 leads for $20- that's garbage for the most part. Try to build a "buyers list" These are subscribers that actually buy something. Much better than "freebie seekers list" That's not say that some freebie seekers never buy, but your conversion rate will usually be better with a "buyers list". Your free gift opt in should have a Thank You Page where you try and sell something (not a big ticket item- maybe in the $5.00 range). Now, through your auto responder you can set up two lists- one that signed up for your freebie and one that bought from your Thank You Page.

Once you take a step towards learning about email marketing there is no looking back because the scope to make a rewarding profit for your business is way too high.That being said,I think for starters you should just try to understand the basics of email marketing by reading various posts,news letters and other mediums to understand the keywords.
The most important thing then to perform successful email marketing if you have your product ready is to create an email list consisting of all the email ids of people who can derive value from your product.This can be done by making a squeeze page or using an email spider which scrapes em,ail ids from various social sites pertaining to the niche that you want.

Finally when you have your list and campaign ready all you have to do is send your email campaign and make way for a growing business.

I recently started using MailChimp when I began my email marketing. It's really easy to use and by far the cheapest! I noticed that many large companies use MailChimp too, but use the coding feature to code their content and personalise their templates.

The greater options you supply your clients, the greater powerful your email advertising and marketing may be. lets in your subscribers to pick out the variety of messages that they would like to get, and the amount of facts that they want to expose to you. the extra amount of control that your clients have over this, the greater consolation they'll enjoy.

Experts have shared knowledge in this forum which is what it is. I would restrict myself with sharing my experience. I have tried selling affiliate products hard via website but it is really difficult especially when the commission is below $20 and for some niches the advertisement cost is high enough that would not cut it.

That's great that you're ready to start rocking it out with email marketing! Like others mentioned, it is not very hard to get started….

First you need a landing/squeeze page to send people too. For this, find a problem in the niche you wish to serve and solve that problem. Put it together in a video or ebook (video is better and easier) and you can offer it for free in exchange for a visitor's email address.

For example, if I wanted to go into the weight loss niche, I would come up with '5 Weight Loss Secrets Your Personal Trainer Doesn't Want You to Know' ebook or something like that. This way, when I send people who are interested in losing weight to my landing page, they'll more than likely opt-in to my list to get this free report.

After you have them on your email list, you should introduce yourself and let them know what they can expect from you and your emails (there is nothing worse than to just start getting random emails and not know where they are coming from). Start sending them some AWESOME content so that you become the authority in that niche. This will get them to know like and trust you. Once they know, like and trust you, you can start slipping in some sales emails for affiliate offers or whatever you wanted to promote.

Which the whole email thing after they are on your list can be set up with an auto responder so that you don't really have to do anything….

And finally, to get people to your optin page, simply spend a few dollars on driving traffic through ppc, solo ads and/or any of the other tons of traffic driving methods available!

From my point of view if you have to start from scratch, you have to choose a topic that you want to treat, maybe something you like or you feel expert.
You have to do a blog, there are several sites for this, the most famous is wordpress, then entrust to an autoresponder to send emails to your subscribers, but it takes patience and perseverance.
Instead, for the most widely used affiliate marketing site it is Amazon, but here you have to have a blog, but also others such as TradeDoubler, zanox ...
You'll have to write great reviews on products that you sell as an affiliate, you have to be able to capture the attention of the potential buyer.
