Anyone here use Gmail or MS Outlook for bulk email?

Does anyone here know how to do bulk email merge using Gmail ? I have been reading the instructions and and trying to follow them, with no success. MS Outlook is supposed to be able to do mail merge but I can't get the data file of email and names to open up with I try to access it. I spent most of my day yesterday trying with no success.

I don't know what is going wrong, and I don't know where to ask, so I came here to a group of marketers to see if anyone uses that for their marketing.

If you think you could teach me how to do it, maybe using team viewer or something, I would be so grateful. Anyone, please?

I only want to send out 50-100 email per day with this , but doing it by hand just begs for mistakes on my part.

The attached PDF file comprises a printout of the Help documentation for a program I wrote to automate MS Outlook using an Excel spreadsheet as the source of recipients and an ordinary text file as the email message body. This document should enable you to determine if my program might serve your purpose.

It's free, if you can accept a few caveats:
      • It has been tested only with Windows XP and Windows 7, and MS Office versions 2003, 2007, & 2010. I cannot guarantee compatibility with any other platforms.
      • In MS Office 2003, there is no option to select the Sender's email account; it always uses your current default account; newer versions allow you to select the Sender account.
      • If you want to use the option to send SMS messages, you need an account with ViaNett.com. It costs about $0.06 per message sent. Credits may be purchased in increments of about $20 as needed, and expire after one year if not used. There are no setup or ongoing maintenance fees. If a message exceeds 160 characters, it is sent as a series of messages truncated to 153 characters each. Recipients must have a U.S. phone number, although this limitation could be removed if necessary.
      • I would need a couple of days to prepare and test an installation package.
      • I recommend that you should make sure your Windows system is up-to-date with all important Windows Updates installed. You should also have a reliable backup of your system drive in case you need to recover from unanticipated problems quickly. For this purpose, I have used the free version of Macrium Reflect for several years, and it has never failed me.
