How did you learn to craft GOOD emails to your subscribers?

How did you learn to write GOOD emails to your subscribers? Some of these emails I've been getting from Internet marketers are really hitting the nail on the point. I can see all the psychology and persuasion tactics being used.

Question is, where can one go to learn to write like this?

Any books/courses you recommend?

How did you get good at writing high-converting emails?

Ray Edwards is great, Drayton Bird is a genius and Ben Settle is different, but probably the most effective copy writer and email expert in the world.

Just a few suggestions for you...

    Hope this helps.

    I learned email marketing by:

    - investing in quality email marketing courses

    - subscribing to Ben Settle's email list at BenSettle.com

    - actually writing emails

Another marketer worth learning from is Matt Furey (his style is similar to Ben Settle's).

    Regards,
    Daniel

there are a lot of courses out there but the way I started was to go to the websites of the people who have these courses and get on their list. Then I just started reading their emails, looking at their headlines and whatnot. I was then able to pick the one I like the best and bought their course.

I was already good at writing, so it was just a matter of adapting to writing emails. I learned most of what I know from now-banned WF member Alexa Smith.

If anyone's interested, they can look up her posts and learn a thing or two from them. Given that she used to link in almost all her posts to other posts, you'll stay busy for quite some time.

Don't write your emails to appeal to EVERYONE,

If you do, the fakery will shine through and people will smell the BS. Then you will be getting lots of unsubscribes. Instead, just be yourself with your own geniune personality and talk to them as you would a freind. Make it personal, as if they're the only one on your list.

One book that I found helpful was "The Invisible Selling Machine" by Ryan Deiss

but basically you gotta get personal & you gotta provide value. i talk about the seinfeld method, the launch method, & best email marketing practices. obvoiusly it depends a tonne on what niche you're in & what your method of bringing them in is. BUT at the end of the day man you gotta provide a tonne of value. I got good at it by writing man. Its like anything! you wanna be a good basketball player? hit the courts daily. wanna be a good marketer: study, test, & tweak daily. emails are the same. its a skill get to practicing.

I have found one of the best ways to do a good email is to use the good ones as a model.

In addition, the book Pitch Anything by Oren Klaff is a great reference in designing your sale offer.
