  • Hi there hiimjohn. How do you send the messages? SMTP provider or ? It can be false server settings or bad reputation of the ip you are sending from.

Edit: sorry just saw your sending with getresponse

bad reputation seems the exact reason for hotmail. It will almost always end up in promotion because Its promotion Promotion tab is not spam.

Talk to getresponse live support about it. They've been very helpful whenever I run into an issue.

Also, if you've done some spammy promotions in the past that might have something to do with it. Maybe the email or the ip address you're using is causing the issue.

Your country doesn't have anything about it.. We are all equal citizens of this world no matter where we live.
If you haven't set SPF records to your domain (as you say that you are not techy guy) you most likely have this problem.

Everyone has problems with hotmail at times or often for that matter. Being on shared IPs just makes it harder. Support is often BS, you call and they say they will forward your message to their deliverability team and they come back and say nothing is wrong. Which is just pure insanity.

If your having problems I would send a generic message with no link. If it still doesn't work, change your domain, if that still doesn't work then change your can-spam info, if that still doesn't work, then it's an ESP issue.

I've had the best luck with iContact for hotmail.

If your sending out a link it may be the cause of it.
If you are using a link try with a different link see if that's what's causing it.
