Well, you first need a plan. You need to know how you want your sales funnel set up. Here's a basic example:

Traffic -> Landing page with opt-in box -> Begin sending emails

It's an over-simplistic view over this process, but it's a start. Then you have to figure out how to drive traffic, what to write on the landing page, etc.

Email marketing is a very powerful tool, personally use as autoresponder getresponse, price quality in my opinion is the best.
But I think the most important step is to have something valuable to offer, and maybe make a blog, do a lot of research on what you wish to sell, personally I think is the most important step.

    All

I have been looking into this for my own purposes and trying to answer some of my own questions and clarify things regarding email marketing.

Would you be so kind to complete a quiz to see if I have captured what other people see as challenging? I have done this based on my own challenges and the biggest one has been traffic. The technology isn't an issue its been traffic sources and generating enough traffic to build a list and go from there.

I will be up front - I want to test and see if this works as a concept as I have a free content site that is for people to sign up to.

I also want to get people's opinion of the site and what I can do to improve it. There are more changes to do and content to ad but this is the starter for 10. I haven't created a specific email video course to go with the this but it will be the next step.

I will also be sharing the results of the quiz with anyone how takes part so I can give something back to the people who provide feedback and their time.

I have learned a lot on WF and made loads of mistakes and now want to see if the mistakes I made were the same as other people and what I can do to prevent others from doing the same.

Here is the quiz and your opinions will be appreciated.

I suggest that first of all, you need to sign up for an email autoresponder service. The next important step is connecting your website with your email service. This option is usually done via web-opt-in form. It should work following way, when people enter their email addresses they get a confirmation email, and after that they get added to your list. After that, it will be really simple to make mailing letter to all your subscribers or some specific groups (if you need to divide them).

Firstly your need any email service provider that getresponse, awaber, mailchimp then you create landing page, and you build up many email list your targeted people, then you go email marketing and promote your product and you reach your business goal.

I recommend If you have new online marketer so that you should first choose mailchimp email service provider
because mailchimp free 12000 email 2000 subscriber per month

    Hey Women Shoes!

Okay, I know everyone is suggesting you get MailChimp because it is cheap to get started...BUT...

You will find immediately that Mailchimp won't allow you to do automatic drip campaigns with a free account.

There are also some FREE autoresponders out there (ListWire.com comes immediately to mind).

BEFORE you begin, however, I would map out exactly what it is you want to accomplish and how you want to do it.

I use GetResponse and they have a landing page feature that integrates with their campaigns so you might never have to even worry about building pages and hosting...

The other thing is, you should really have a plan for your drip marketing campaign before you begin. You don't want to buy into a product and then have to do a lot of rework later when you find out the software doesn't do what you need it to do.

    All the best,

    Pat
