1) That is the suppression list of users that have unsubscribed from the offer already and you need to suppress those users from being sent the offer.

2) the list that you can down load is in MD5 format, which is an encryption. In order to use a list that is in MD5, you need a program that will encrypt your list in MD5 and then run it against the suppression list and will remove those user from the list or create a list of the emails that are matches.

Example:

user1@xyz.com when encrypted in MD5 it is 39ff41c1034c9b012cc5b2e7f7cbdff4 so if that was an address that unsubscribed it would be in the suppression file.

So the program will encrypt your list and if user1@xyz.com existed it would be 39ff41c1034c9b012cc5b2e7f7cbdff4 and would match the record in the suppression list and remove it from the list or it would write user1@xyz.com to a file, so that you can use it in situation where you can't use a md5 list.

However most programs will just remove matches, I had a custom one built so I could optionally output the matches as the actual address.

* if you notice that above the choice to choose the MD5 file is plain text, but the advertiser isn't making it available. If it was available the user1@xyz.com address would be listed in the list instead of 39ff41c1034c9b012cc5b2e7f7cbdff4. The reason why most advertisers don't provide plain text, is that they are worried of providing a list of actual email addresses that someone may download and mail.

3) is an option to upload your list and it will convert your list for you and remove any matches from the suppression list.
