Aweber Problems in March 2016 ?

27 replies
Anyone else notice Aweber having problems delivering emails in the last week ? I have tested this using my own emails and they are not reaching me. They have not replied to my ticket from yesterday, but hopefully they will today.

Maybe a switch to getresponse is a good idea soon.

    Hello keblack, no problems with Aweber so far.

    Chances are they will contact you today though.

    Personally, I haven't noticed anything peculiar of late with AW. Will keep my ears and eyes open. though

    Maybe I am the only one having problems - hasn't happened before. They are taking their time getting back to me - I'll have to phone them tomorrow.

    I noticed just yesterday they were down for maintenance for about 30 minutes in the middle of the day in the statistics area where you check open/click rates and segment your email. But other than that nothing this year so far.

    Regards,
    Anthony

    If you are having this kind of problem, I would check to see if the domain of your email address has been black listed. If so, do your best to get off of any blacklists.

    It would be the from email address you are using and your ISP may have blacklisted that email address.

    I hope this is helpful,
    Steve Yakim

    Yep massive problems with Aweber. Most emails are going to spam and the stats get stuck all the time.

    Quite strange if you ask me. They won't reply to tickets or emails. None of my sites are blacklisted. I plan to move my lists somewhere else soon.

    Still not fixed, opens are almost half of what they used to be. They will lose a lot of customers if they dont fix this soon.

    The problem is still not fixed. I don´t know what Aweber is waiting for to fix this issue. If they dont fix this they will probably lose most of their customers in the next 30 days because there is a ton of people that are already losing patience. Opens dropped by more halved since the beginning of April and now they are just 1/3 of what they were before this happened.

    The last time i use Aweber was 4 years ago when they suspended my account for no good reason. I now use Sendy with Amazonses. Delivery is superb.

    I won't reveal the sender, but I'm on a JV mailing list (emails sent via Aweber, my subscription email address is Gmail) and their product was launched this week.

    Here are their results (Inbox/Spam):

    May 1: spam
    May 2: inbox
    May 3: inbox
    May 4: spam
    May 4: inbox

    I cannot know whether Aweber has a problem or not, but it's obvious that the sender has a problem - Gmail included this explanation:

    ======
    Why is this message in Spam? It's similar to messages that were detected by our spam filters.
    ======

    My point is this: before blaming the email marketing service, be sure that everything is fine at your end. And I'm not referring to your past emails, but to each and every email.

      Its been like that since the beginning of April regardless of what you mail. Almost impossible to inbox in Gmail.

    Is this still happening with others who are using aweber ? And is it across the board with aweber users or just some ? I have been with them for almost 10 years and I just started to see a drop in just gmail.com opens around the 20th of april but it has gotten worse and worse. What was really disappointing is that when I contacted their support 2 weeks ago they acted like they didnt know what I was talking about and then just never responded even though I continued to email support. Finally after contacting them multiple times, they finally responded and said 'we don't see any issues'. Unbelievable - especially when you see the huge and sudden drop in opens and clicks. Then I did a search online this weekend and found this thread where others are talking about it - so obviously they must have been aware of this. I have searched the stats and the drop only seems to be happening with gmail addresses - the others like yahoo, aol, hotmail, ect seem to be pretty much the same as they have always been.

    Does anyone know if this is only happening to a segment of aweber users - or most / all of aweber users ? Also is this same thing happening with other email service providers like getresponse, mailchimp, infusionsoft, constantcontact, ect ?
