For Confirmed Opt-ins... What is the best kind of: Confirmation Page, Confirmation Email and Subject line to use in order to get maximum open rate and confirmation percentage?

What do you think of this email subject for double opt-in confirmation "Confirm your subscription - Mind Reality"? Mind Reality is the name of the company/newsletter btw. Is the subject line fine? Or is there a better email subject you would use?

Most autoresponder companies require the word confirm in the subject line. Some even review the new confirmation subject line before you can use it.

As a rule I don't usually use double optin but I have clients that do. The subject line needs to be customized for each individual email campaign or list.

Example... If you have a squeeze page giving away the ABC Report, the new subject line should say something like... "Confirm to Receive the ABC Report You Requested"

Remind the subscriber what they will receive when they confirm. The confirm link in the confirm email should lead directly to the download page of the free ABC Report.

I hope this has been helpful,

"This Email Contains Your XYZ", or "Please Confirm Your Request For XYZ", or "This Email Contains Your Requested XYZ" will work fine.

Another great thing to do, is to REMIND your end users to confirm as soon as they opt-in.

You can also do that with a video on your thank you page, (where you thank them for subscribing, remind them to confirm their email, then go on to pitch whatever you want).

You don't want to make the confirmation about a subscription. You want to make it about receiving the free report or product.

Just off the top of my head it should be something like this... (I don't use double opt-in but I have clients that do.)

Thank you for requesting the ABC Report. Please click the link below to confirm you want to receive the ABC Report to be taken directly to the ABC Report.

      Confirm link

Keep reminding the new subscriber what they will receive when they click the confirmation link. As long as you have the word confirm that they want to receive the report or product it should be approved for your use.

To you they are subscribing to your list but to them you want them to see that you want to give them good information, which they have requested.

Never use the word subscription in the subject line or the body of the email message.

I hope this has been helpful,

I like Robert's example above. You need to bridge the connection between the confirmation and the value pay off. If you don't do it then the prospect will have a hard time seeing it himself.
