What are your conversion rates for Solo Ads?

Solo Ads were discussed recently in another post. I'd like to go deeper into the subject and have you all suggest what good coversion rates should be. To be specific...If I ran a 500 click campaign, how many leads should it generate and how many sales to be considered a good campaign?

Thank you.

What is a "good" conversion rate is dependent on many factors, too many to give you a definitive answer.

For example, if you're promoting higher ticket products a paid conversion rate of 0.5% of all your leads might yield a very high return on investment.

I have no idea what kind of offer you have but there are a lot of marketers who are return buyers of solo ads who are happy with around 40% to 50% opt-in rate - again, there are too many factors involved here so I wouldn't assume that's ideal either.

Really, I think the question (and answer) that you need to figure out is how well your funnel converts traffic, and what's the actual return on investment from investing in a solo provider.

    Regards,
    Daniel

Thats an open ended question my friend! This can be different for anyone! There are many factors at stack and it could go from zero nada, zilch, to over 60. 70 percent conversions to your landing/squeeze page.

Good Conversion rate will not be same for each and every niche.
If you're talking about Internet Marketing niche with a decent squeeze page (Decent means, non-flashy simple squeeze page) then you should expect more than 40% conversion for optins. Conversions for sales will again going to vary as per products you're selling in your funnel.

    I hope, it helps.

Yes Vikash thanks for the answers so far. I guess to be a little specific. If you have a good average capture page....how many optins should it get. I know its hard to answer the sales question with out knowing what the product is...so lets just stick to how many leads it should generate.

      Thanks everyone.

40-50 optins per 100 visits in the Internet marketing niche is common, if you're getting these leads from a reputed solo vendor and considering 75%-85% T1 Traffic.

Just to be clear, Conversions Rate is different from Opt-in Rate!

When you run a Solo Ad campaign, visitors see your Offer on Your Landing Page and if they like the offer they Opt-in!

Then they go to the Thank You page OR the Sales Page for a product and the people who buy into your offer become part of your conversion rate!

I have worked with several (over 45) Solo Ad providers and I have found only 2 who are really honest about their business practices in running Solo Ad campaigns!

How well your Solo Ad campaign does depends on many factors, here are a few:

    - What type of offers are you promoting

    - How well the Solo Ad provider Pre-Frames the visitors before they see your Landing Page (huge factor that increase rate of Opt-ins and conversions!)

    - What type of traffic are you looking for (US only/International/English speaking countries)

    - What kind of results has the Solo Ad provider gotten with the type of offer you are promoting

    - And many more depending on the niches you are engaging!

Honestly, most people are over the moon when they get 7 - 11% Opt-in and 1 - 2% conversions!

For me after using Solo Ad providers for the past 7 years, I have seen the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly and I recommend you are very careful before you burn through your marketing money.

You have to realize it is not how much you pay for a Solo Ad campaign, but what results do you get! What kind of quality is the Solo Ad provider sending to your offer and how well are they Pre-Framing the visitors before they hit your Landing page!

For example if you pay $450 (45 cents a click) for a 1000 clicks Solo and you get 9% Opt-in Rate (90 subscribers) with 1.5% conversion rate for a $50 product (15 people X $50 = $750) - Remember you now have and can continue to market to the 9% who opted in who are now part of your email list!

    VS

You pay $1100 ($1.10 per click) for 1000 clicks and you get 60% Opt-in rate (600 subscribers) with 15% conversion rate for a $50 product (150 people X $50 = $7500) and again you get 600 people in your email list you can continue to market to with other offers!

Carefully the testimonials for the Solo Ad providers and see if the results and the cost makes sense to you!

Again I don't know what your niche is but,

Right now I am working with a Solo Ad provider in the Internet Marketing/Make Money Online Niche that guarantees Me 60% Opt-in rate and my conversions with them has been 14 - 17% (before finding this provider the highest guaranteed Opt in rate I had ever found was 30%!!!)

Also no Solo Ad provider will ever guarantee any Conversion Rates! Because that truly depends on your offer and and the value it provides to the visitors!

PM me if you'd like the name of my current Solo Ad provider!

    It totally depends, on....

    - Vendor's list quality
    - Amount of clicks to your squeeze page
    - Location of the people coming to your page
    - Tier level
    - Seller honesty
    - Fraud and scams
    - Known scam IP addresses
    - Tracking tool used
    - Whether you go directly to a seller, or if you join a solo ad marketplace

Just like Randall says, there are a ton of variables.

The best advice I can give, is to buy 100 click solo ads. Then test.

Create a few squeeze pages to see which one wins.

Then, once you find a winner, try to beat that. Make it your control.

If you are doing split tests like suggested you should at least send 500 clicks to every squeeze to get a statistically valid result. 100 clicks is way too random in my opinion .

I've run tests where the results were completely upside down between 100 or 500 clicks.

Noorani covers it very well - I have been happy with opt-in rates of 35-40% for an Internet marketing product.

Excellent Transformation amount will not be same for each and every niche. 40-50 per 100 trips in the Online marketing market is common

When I first started buying solo ads roughly 3 years ago, my conversion rates were terrible. I remember the first 10 or so solos I bought I wasn't even getting close to 20%. I think my very first solo ad I achieved a whopping 9% conversion rate.

However, that's because I had no idea what I was doing. I didn't have the right kind of squeeze page for solo ads. I quickly learned that the best type of squeeze page for solo ads was something very simple, with a really compelling headline. I found out pretty quick that the headline was pretty much everything.

While it took me a couple of months to start getting it right, I eventually hit my stride and started achieving conversion rates between 30-50%. Nowadays it's very rare that I ever get less than 40%.

Solo ads simply are not as easy as some people would have you believe. As I said, when it comes to your squeeze page, keep it simple.

I use a very simple formula today, which is basically a blank page with a headline in red at the top, then a red arrow underneath pointing to my opt-in form.

Also, you can increase your conversion rates drastically by eliminating the "name" field and only asking for their email address. Also, most people go with single opt-in when it comes to solo ads. In fact, I have yet to speak to anyone who thinks it's a good idea to use double opt-in for solo ad traffic.

I ran 3 solos yesterday, two 100-click solos and one 300-click solo. I got over 50% conversions on two of them. These are also sellers I have used many times and I know their traffic is good.

  • I agree. A 40%-50% opt-in rate would be good. Conversions? Maybe 1% or 2%. Depends entirely on your pre-sell page or on the sales page. But conversions on the Solo run are gravy. It's the fresh emails that are the prize, as you can market to them forever (or as long as you can manage to keep them subscribed to your list with your blinding insight on the IM industry and your astonishingly informative free tips).

I have bought solo ads from a lot of sellers on this forum and other forums. Most of the time the ROI sucked. Not because my offer was bad, but because I don't believe the clicks were legit. My best experience has been testing fiverr gig solo ads. You don't have to risk much, and can test a new gig every couple of days. Then when you find a decent gig, buy it multiple times. This technique is working for me right now.

Solo Ads is a good option for generating traffic. Usually Solo Ads have 40-45 % opt-in rate. But few of Solo Ads sellers claim that they can offer 55+% of opt-in rate. For me solo Ads provide me good sales.

  • 10 to 15% is realistic for you open rates and conversion's after the open you should be looking at around 3%

most will argue and blah blah you but I've seen this to be very realistic.

The normal opt-in rate you should be getting is above 40%. If you get anything below this rate, I suggest you to show the seller the stat, he/she might top-up more clicks for you. The best I have got is 82% and I was quite impressed myself, frankly as the usual rate I got was around 55% - 70%.

    IT depends on

    - QUALITY of OPT IN PAGE

    - Source of TRAFFIC.

Just write a simple opt in page. Put immediately on the first part of the page, the button to opt in.

Use Solo Ads and Facebook Ads together: rely only the sellers of solo who have a lot of testimonials, and track the click using google url shortener or others tracking services.
