How to Create an Automated Re-engagement Workflow in MailChimp

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to create a re-engagement automation workflow in MailChimp. I figured out how to create the workflow itself, the problem is how to make this truly automatic.

The goal is to send an automatic re-engagement email ONCE a subscriber has not opened an email in the last 3 months. There are a couple custom workflow triggers identified:

1. When Merge field value changes, based on merge field â€Å"Last Openedâ€Â
- This would need to be manually updated every day, but will changing the date alter the workflow for subscribers who last opened the previous day?

2. When subscribers join list group Unopened in last 50 campaigns (or 9 months)
- Group must be manually updated with the defined segment

If anyone has had any success creating a truly automated re-engagement workflow (or workflow in general), any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

In order to automate what you want to do, will come down to what are the capabilities of their API. So I would suggest that you first find out if each operation that needs to be performed, is supported through the API. Then if all are, then you just need to hire a programmer to create a program to do it.
