Help: Starting an email marketing list without relying on a website.
I'm starting a new project in which I want to help small to medium-size businesses with their marketing needs. I like to work email marketing into my marketing plan. But, I don't really want to rely on my website as a caption mechanism.
I'm going to focus on local clients to begin with. With marketing service providers being such a competitive industry, I'm not going to rely on search engine optimization to push myself to the top of Google. I believe there's just too much competition and too many large companies with way more resources.
I'm really not sure how I should build my email marketing list without just randomly sending emails to local companies that like to work with.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
