    Don’t follow my idiotic mistake!

Yes it took me 2 yeas of trying to market online until I finally got this concept brutaly pounded into my head. BUILD YOUR DARN LIST! If you have heard of this and haven’t gotten around to doing it, you just spinning your wheels.

I worked my rear off marketing for 2 straight years nonstop and built sizeable downlines in multiple programs. Sure I made a few bucks here and there but what was digging myself a deep grave. Today, all these programs I built downlines are gone and had nothing to show for it. I was promoting somebody else and not myselft. I am not saying promoting affiliate links is a bad thing but just remember… would you rather promote affiliate links from you optin list or promote these same links with hard work?

So before you do anything else: build a website, create and newsletter, and start promoting your site and newsletter. This will save you tons of time and headaches in the long run. Build your list by giving away free software, ebooks, and offers. I would recommend giving away a viral e-book to new subscribers personally.

I don’t know about you but I don’t want to work nonstop all day long marketing. If I wanted to do that I would just go out and find a job right? You probably want to be lazy like me and wake up late and go to bed early knowing your gonna make money either way. So 25,000+ subscribers later I can feel comfortable doing that. I am not saying you can be lazy but you get the point

It is much easier to promote affiliate programs or your own programs for that matter when you can e-mail several thousand subscribers about it.

So heres some extra benefits of building a list will bring you….

    1. offer paid ads in your newsletter

    2. promoting affiliate links or your programs mentioned above

    3. potential viral sales

    4. days, weeks, months, and years of residual income potential

    5. future Joint Ventures with your subscribers or other webmasters affiliated with your business

Those are just a few of the benefits of building a list offers, I am sure you can find other good reasons if you put your mind to work.

Be careful! Once you have a list its up to your to maintain it. Watch what you promote or recommend. For the most part stick to your â€Å"newsletters theme.†Its okay to go off topic every once in awhile but keep that to a minimum. Remember that you have a good reputation to keep and if you start angering your subscibers or flood their e-mail box with offers your business will start to sink.

Build your list right and build your list smart! If you don’t know how to build a list properly feel free to check out my signature for the â€Å"Optin Master Course.â€Â

I hope that this sheds some light on the importance of building your list and stop you from following my idiotic mistake!

The fastest and cheapest method we used so far is launching a contest on Facebook.

How do you do it in short:

-get a Facebook page and post a few times every day trying to get some posts viral
-the posts with the biggest chances get booster for $5/day
-when you get a lot of organic reach for a post you edit the post and ad the contest details
-using a service la upviral you incentivize entrants to share the contest on social media on email to get extra entries
-announce winners 1 by 1 on email so you make sure they open emails
-in the emails you also sell the product for those that didn't win yet

That's super smart. There's a TON of buzz these days about building up a fanpage. How much do you think likes cost in the Internet marketing, website traffic, copywriting niches?

(It's been so long that I've messed with Facebook ads lol).

Anyone who has current Facebook experience, I'd love your two cents?

I did some campaigns for a few brand new pages in the internet marketing niche. The purpose was just to get things going and for $5 I got around 100 likes plus around 15-20 from their friends. This was not optimized, just targeted some important people in the IM niche as interests.

But you don't have to launch a campaign for ads. You just have to make some good posts. If you see some engagement, or you know the post is awesome you boost it for $5. It could go viral get a lot of reach and likes for free. All those that like your post can be invited to like your page. Only 100 or so invites/day so it's a regular task.

I never had a viral post in IM niche though. I assume it is way harder than using puppies. Also due to Facebook's system it is hard to get any reach without paying something.

there is no fast way, if you're looking to build a sustainable buiness, you should make relationship with your audience, you can build a list fast by using paid traffic tools, but I think it will not be a long term relationship.

Fastest and best way I know is by doing solo ads. Test small, find sellers that deliver results to what you are offering and always have a self liquidating offer (a cheap offer to recoup your advertisement costs). Always focus on delivering massive value first and you will get optins and your subscriber list (with buyers) will grow.

Have a look on Udimi...lots of sellers with feedback and it only costs something like 30 bucks to get 100 clicks.

Is it better to use a free ebook for the opt-in or offer a free newsletter? What works best?

Use solo ads - you will get the best solo ad sellers from facebook groups such as 'solo ad testiomonials', the testimonials include the sellers name, clicks delivered, opt in % etc. also remember to have a good squeeze page with a good give away. use wpprofitbuilder and aweber

So where is your knowledge and feedback?

Or are you just really asking how to build a email list of buyers?

Can't really tell but the easiest way would be to offer something up for sale obviously and when they buy they are put on an email list.

But still something about how this is framed bothers me
