Getting traffic to an opt in page for email marketing

Hello,

Newbie here. Been reading this forums the last week and getting more confused so i signed up today.

What is the best way to start with Email marketing,

I have a blog and also a facebook page but just cant seem to figure out how to get traffic to either of them in to sign up to my opt in page.

    You can try these tips:

    1. Comment or post in groups and other pages. Tag them in posts.
    2. Send messages to some pages and ask if they can post your content in their pages. Do them a favor too in return.
    3. Start with family and friends, ask them to like your page.
    4. Create accounts in other social media and syndicate content. You can use IFTTT, it's free
    5. Integrate your email mktg tool in facebook, direct link to your blog's homepage.
    6. Build a landing page with freebie for audience to download after they opt-in

    You mentioned you have a FB page - did you try subscribing to groups that fit your niche. The advantage of such groups is that you can engage a bunch of people who are already interested in content like yours. Try to be as engaging as possible, ask questions in your posts and try to make people to comment. From here your can easily direct them to your site/page

    Is the page in your signature link yours?

    Is that the opt-in page you are talking about?

    If so I would remove the Dooleybets
    and replace it with something like "FREE REPORT" or "FREE EBOOK"

    Another thing you can do is get involved on this very forum.

    Start contributing to what others are talking about inside the forum and have your signature be seen with every single post you leave.

    If you do a good job in contributing, then you'll start getting traffic to your opt-in page.

      Yea thats my opt in page. I have removed the Dooleybets. Makes alot more sense when you think about it.

      I would love to get more involved in here. Iv learned so much over the last couple of weeks since I stumbled onto this site that it is only fair to give back.
