New to email marketing

Hello everyone, my name is Nick and I'm new here. I been researching and reading blogs for months now, even signed up for a couple of "make money online" scams. From what I learned so far, the best way to get traffic is through building an email list. I recently signed up for this program called 5figureday and it's basically teaching you an easier way to build an email list using their free websites. Does anybody have any info about this program, I searched for blogs to see if this is a scam but most of the reviews seem to be ok. I watched the videos and read everything they had to offer from the membership area but I'm still kind of clueless as to how to get started. What I got from this program is basically a pyramid scheme to make your email list grow faster. Anybody you get to sign up for their free website gets added to your email list and the same for whoever else they get to sign up. I want to know if there's real money to be made using this program, they gave me a 30 day trial for $1 to test it out so hopefully I get some good feedback. The owner of this program recommended that I ask questions on this forum as it is the number 1 IM forum online. Thanks

Email marketing is more about getting subscribers from your website (or other means).

The fastest way to get traffic is probably PPC, but it's costly.
The best way may be from social media since it's free but it takes effort to build up a following.

You then divert the traffic to your squeeze page (a single page on your website where there will be an email form ready to capture their email address and name). Then over time, you email them periodically to help build up a relationship so they can trust you better.

Good email marketing companies are GetResponse, Aweber, MailChimp, and etc. You can also buy an autoresponder software and install it on your website. But many internet marketers enjoy the hassle-free convenience from the companies I've just mentioned.

      Thanks for the help.
This 5figureday program that I recently signed up for has many different squeeze pages I can divert traffic to so people can sign up. All I'm doing is promoting their program and getting people to sign up for a $1 30 day trial to test it out, most people will probably cancel their subscription so they won't have to pay the regular fee after the trial is up. I want to know if this seems like a scam or if it's a good idea to get started this way.

Where did you sign up for this program. On affiliate marketing platforms like Jvzoo, there's a refund or conversion metric to tell how effective the program is.

Being that you're new, you may have dollar signs in your eyes... FORGET ABOUT THE MONEY. Build an audience first. If you build a genuine, targeted audience of, let's say, 50,000 email subs, that love your emails, you may see a higher conversion rate in sales.

Let's think about an audience of 50,000 subs converting at 10%. That's 5,000 customers. Let's say your had time to create a high-quality high-end product for $500. You just made $2.5 million! This is what can happen once you get your mind off of the money and focus on the audience. In order to make this happen, keep a few things in mind.

      1. Give nothing but the best content, freebies, and products.

      2. Focus on building your email list and focus on solving a problem they may be having for free.

      3. Create your own product and have them opt-in to another mailing list. This is called the buyer's list. You will market more products to them, but you continue giving them even higher valuable content for free just because they bought your product and took a chance on you.

      4. Focus on building a bigger audience to give value to more people and get bigger paychecks.

Once you have this mindset established, the only thing you need to do is learn how to build that audience faster and faster.

I agree that dollar-motivated goal will not bring you anywhere. You should focus to give people something valuable to deserve their appreciation and respect. Achieving success online is possible when you think long-term and are ready to devote yourself to what you're doing.
