Create an FB Page for your business or service, then use FB Ads to send visitors to that Page.

If you have a squeeze page ready and a lead magnet, then you can create a FB page about your niche and do a "clicks to website" type of ad.

Make sure your landing page is FB compliant though. They are quite strict about where the traffic goes.

    Here is a broad strategy:

    1. Build a FB page
    2. Buy some fake likes to generate social proof (Alexamaster)
    3. Research your niche
    4. Create multiple different "Clicks to website" campaigns with targeting based on your niche research
    5. Send to clicks to your Landing Page, make sure to split test multiple landing pages and multiple facebook ads campaigns.
    6. Scale the winning campaigns and pages by duplicating the FB campaigns instead of increasing the daily budget.

I disagree with most of these steps, especially buying fake views. While I haven't bought likes for our own pages, we have had clients that went against our recommendation and for a quick and cheap result (and seeing the likes pile up) have damaged their page as well as Facebook Advertising account permanently. I'm talking about like farms here but perhaps that's not what you meant? Although fake is fake and that ain't good.

If you want to pay for likes, you can do so by creating like campaigns. However, the MOST important thing to do once you create your Facebook Page is to focus on posting quality content and start building a base of fans.
With good targeting (and cross targeting) you can reach the wildest groups.

Facebook has recently changed their newsfeed algorithm and they are focusing more and more on delivering quality content to targeted users. If you go out and post links to your squeeze page/sales page on a brand new Page I have a feeling you won't see a good reach and you'll also pay A LOT for your leads.

What I recommend you do instead is to focus on building a quality list on your Facebook page that you later monetize.

The best results I have had were to do so by integrating squeeze pages (even sales pages) into Facebook Tabs and not posting the links directly in the posts. Facebook will see that as being low quality and will kill your reach, paid or not.

You can create engaging contests where people sign up to win something cool. Lead Forms are quite easy to use and I've seen some good results using them.

Bottom line: quality, engaging content ->grow your fan base (use boosted posts, good targeting and the "Invite" to like your page feature once you have post likes) ->Facebook Tabs + creating contests and giveaways to build your list (you can start with Facebook Lead Forms).

That's my two cents on this.

Nothing different than a standard Blog or Website. A little different Context here maybe but everything else is similar... drive traffic using PPE or Likes Boosting and have a link to your squeeze page on side of your Fan Page

I think a blend of what Olavski and katrim said.

I've built a list of over 20,000 subscribers using Facebook as one of the heaviest driving forces of this.

How did I do it? Not with getting likes (bought or organic) or using page tags, but rather straight by providing value to who my target audience is.

Step #1 - You need something to hang out in front of your target audience (Which you're going to need to define). This should ideally be a video or blog post - something that gives good value. That blog post or video needs to make a call to action for an opt in offer of some sort. A content upgrade, lead magnet etc.

Step #2 (actually this should be #1) - You need to define your audience to run your ad to. If you had a website with traffic, than of course adding the Facebook tracking pixel and then retargeting that audience is ideal, but I'm going to assume you DON'T have traffic to a website.... so you will need to create your ad and target based on specific topics and other pages that you believe your ideal audience will like.

Step #3 - Setup a thank you page for your lead magnet and set that as a conversion point in your Facebook ads campaign

Step #4 - Create a couple of images to use in your ads. I like Canva for this, quick, easy and a free tool.

Step #5 - Launch those freakin ads! Be sure to setup at least 2 ad groups so you can split test the two designs you created in Step #4 and see which drives more conversions.

Step #6 - Analyze, tweak and repeat. Let your cost for conversion drive your decisions, not just the clicks.

Remember that ad copy, image and landing page will affect your conversion.

    Hope this helps.

Just go to facebook and look at the ads, if they are being show then they are following the rules. If you want to see examples of the landing pages then click on the ad

Sure I don't mind. Here's a link to a Facebook ad we ran and built a list in the diet/nutrition niche. This particular ad built a list of around 300 subscribers in a 10 day period for probably about $125 bucks.

Promoting to your Facebook fans is the easiest and the best method to build your email list, because your fans are more likely to give their email addresses to you because they are already fans of your product or services.

I'm totally against facebook farms, but I use this site to create social proof. just numbers, not results or anything. So when someone visits your page and they see you have 1600 likes they will think you have a good page and they like it too. Meaning you increase your organic likes.
The real results and quality likes are created by real advertising and posting real value on your page. That is something we can both agree on right?

And I agree that sending traffic directly to a squeeze/sales page is sometimes wrong, but if you read, you'll see i haven't said anything about squeeze/sales pages . That's another thing most people get wrong: All squeeze pages are landing pages, but not all landing pages are squeeze pages... think about that.

I have to disagree with you on the fact of building a huge facebook page following as priority number 1. In my experience it should always be on side, you have to do that too. But you priority is to build a email list. Why? 99% of your email list receives your email, but only 20%(if your doing it all right) of your facebook following reads your post on their newsfeed. So lets say I have 10.000 fb likes or a email list of 5.000 email addresses, what would be more interesting?
10.000 likes and 20% will get your post in their news feed = 2000 people. If we say 10%(which is extremely low) will actually read your post = 200 people
5.000 email address and 99% will get your email = 4950 people. If we say 10%(which is extremely low too) will actually read your email = 495 people.

Now in my opinion, email would always be a better idea to focus on and facebook should always be a source to get traffic from. But again, thats just my experience and I'm sure you have a different experience. Just my 3 cents

I have build a list of 1000+ people with very few likes on the page. I can't remember the exact numbers but I think it was less than a couple of hundred likes when I started.

What I focused on though was NOT getting fake likes for social proof(or even genuine likes for that matter) but focusing on HIGH quality content, focusing on getting the engagement up on the posts (likes, comments and especially shares) and yes, building the list.

While I do think social proof can help, in my case it wasn't all that necessary and I still have an organic reach on my posts of at 10 times the number of people who liked my page. That's before doing any sort of promotion or boost on the posts. Why is that happening? I believe it's because Facebook knows and trusts I post good content on my page and will deliver it organically to a much bigger crowd.

It is possible that you misunderstood (or I didn't explain properly, although this is exactly what I said: "What I recommend you do instead is to focus on building a quality list on your Facebook page that you later monetize.") but my advice isn't to just get likes, likes, likes, on the contrary, building a list while focusing on quality that drives ENGAGED people on list.

Again, this helped me build a very responsive list fast and cheaply (I spent $42 on it) whilst focusing on good, quality content and having Facebook send me 500%-1000% more organic traffic on a good post than "official" fans (aka Page likes) I have on my page.

Great an FB account for your business and invite people there for services by using FB ads.

  • Try to get genuine "likes" instead of fake ones.

Using FB is actually a good choice since there are a lot of potential customers. Create a Facebook fan page. Create a creative ad that would attract your target market with your email in it. Use a lead magnet. Your facebook ads on your fan page could help you build your email list because people who are interested in your service are more likely to email you.

As others have mentioned, avoid paying for likes. Let that happen organically

Just make sure you split test your campaigns.

IMO thats hugely important when it comes to FB ads

    Good luck
