Creating My First Squeeze Page - Advice Needed If You Can Spare A Moment

Hey Guys,

So i'm creating my first squeeze page in a very popular niche. (i'll not give it away) I have sold a product in this niche quite successfully on eBay and am ready to try something different given how well direct sales have gone straight through the sales page on my eBay listing.

What i'd like to know is whether a video showing the solution that my lead magnet will provide would be worth placing on the squeeze page.

For example...

I would then have a small paragraph explaining the offer and asking for their email below or to side.

Would a page like this work?

Thanks in advance for your help

Here's my only real concern... You're selling a product designed for the smartphone, but you're going to do video? Theoretically, your viewers will be viewing this on a smartphone. Smartphone users aren't as big fans of video as computer users, thanks to data caps and stuff like that.

I would also DEFINITELY include all the information a person needs OUTSIDE of the video, even if you decide to use the video. Video only will exclude a lot of potential clients.

I agree with hd, I wouldn't watch that video on my phone, but I would read a paragraph or meme type ad. just me though... good luck , sounds like a good product

I would first try just the headline and maybe a catchy image first. Then add the small paragraph and see if that increases or decreases opt-ins. Just kill the video unless you are redirecting your desktop visitors to a different squeeze page.

I think people are somehow blind to that kind of design...It looks crap. I think you should take a look at Unbounced designs that look more professional (or even templates for Optimize press).

Btw, they are also mobile optimized so you don't have to worry about that
