If you build your list using Kindle book preview links, how durable are your lists?

I know a lot of people would put links to their squeeze page on the first page of their Kindle books. The idea is when people browse Kindle books that target certain niches, some of those viewers would click through the link and sign up to the list. I'm not really worried so much about the conversion rate of this traffic.

My question is, assuming you got all these people to your list and assuming you have been sending them updates, how durable are they? Put simply, will they unsubscribe or will they buy and stay on your list?

Also, how responsive will they be? Are they responsive over the long haul or is there some sort of pattern, like right after a Kindle direct publisher select promo program?

The truth is, because these people optin through the kindle squeeze page does not make them different from any other list built without kindle. The list is made up of freebie seekers.

Their durability largely depends on how you treat the list. If you treat the list in a manner that will make the remain, they will remain and if not, they will unsubscribe. Furthermore, their degree of responsiveness to your CTA is also a function of how you treat them and also your experience in email marketing.

You need to understand the rudiments of email marketing and with testing, tweaking and experience, you may increase the email open rate and increase the response to your CTA's.

Talking about if they will buy or not. Check this out: http://www.warriorforum.com/email-ma...##post10699052

    Just my 2 cents

Durability of the list depends on how well you filtered your traffic coming in

    Seriously.

A lot of people think VOLUME is the name of the game...

    I beg to differ

TARGETING is the name of the game

You'd be better off with fewer list members as long as those list members are highly engaged

Durability issues go away if you have a nice cadre of engaged list members
