I am doing about 8,000 optins a day and the major services are hard to stay on. I am using all paid traffic but the volume is not for them. Can anyone recommend some services that hit inboxes. We typically get a 10%+ open rate so the emails are very good.

Why are you getting accounts terminated?

I would suspect that there is some underlying cause that you need to solve, rather than try and find another service.

Complaints are very low, they are just worried with the amount of volume that comes in daily.

You could use multiple services / accounts or move to an enterprise ESP.

8000+ optins a day, you must be doing something right and generating some revenue!

Build your own mailserver and don't skimp!

I recently built a PMTA / Interspire setup. Took a while to warm the IPs (were using 150 IPs), but it's well worth it in the long run.

All the big ESPs are all running PMTA on the backend, trust me!

Oh and you don't have the ESP's on your rear controlling your lists, etc etc

If your complaint rate is consistently over 0.1% on any esp, your going to have your accounts terminated. Open rates are not going to have an effect on this if your complaint rate is above the stated.

Complaint rate below .1% we have less than 1 complaint per 1000 emails sent. The issue is amount of complaints because amount of emails being sent daily.

    0.2% is the norm nowadays.

Look into Sendy also. I just set this up for a client. Basically Amazon SES on the backend and you can host it yourself. Bit more complex to setup but $1 to send 10,000 emails is a bargain!

Trust me when i say this all these top line ESPs are ripping off the end-users big time, i mean it! I've worked for some of them!

Would you mind telling us who you have tried so that we have a better idea of who you should consider?

Personally, I would feed the data into an ESP and also have my own email server.

I would have the initial email send to them using PostMarkApp.com. They have the best inbox rate for transactional email (not newsletter or promotions). For the other emails... I'm nto sure who the best would be.

Be mindful about who you allow to configure a server for you. I'm invested in Interspire but I guess if I was just starting with my own server I would go with Sendy.

    Very impressive stats. Congrats.

ESPs let you get started without worrying about any of the underlying infrastructure. In expertise there are few times the hassle of maintaining your own email marketing setup is warranted: when discussing with people who do take this approach you will regularly hear words like painful, nightmare and taking too much time. Save yourself the struggle and research the ESP that is right for you.

Sounds like you need to setup your own dedicated server and take control of your email marketing on a larger scale.

There are many setups you can use but based on your numbers you should definitely look into it. Silverpop and Exact Target are two of the heavy weights but they can be expensive and will offer you a lot of services that may not be relevant for the level you are operating at.

For cost and complete control a dedicated server and your own smtp with PMTA is hard to beat for deliverability, ease of use and effectiveness.

Shout if you need any more info

I wouldn't think about setting up your own server / mta at this point. I'm sure you can find a solution to your problem. Also, with the volume you produce, you should be testing ESPs and see which have better inboxing for various domains (some just inbox better than other) and you could be moving your data appropriately based on it. This will help reduce the volume that they see coming in as well...if that is really why you are getting terminated.

There are a variety of email marketing service providers (ESPs) out there and it does not take very long to see that even though their offers are all different they all do basically one thing: put data and creative together to deploy. The less obvious difference between all these platforms is the way they approach the problem in the back end; and unsurprisingly this is rarely part of their sales message.
