Hi Warrior Forum,

I'm been getting some people that are telling me about solo ads. I recently got some website traffic from someone but I haven't made any sales yet. I got several sign ups but like I said but no sales. I'm just wondering what kinds of experiences anyone has had with solo ads. Thanks

Dawn

  • I think what I see people miss is that 99% don't get the idea that you can send every sigle person on the planet to their landing page and still they can get 0 sales but they blame the traffic and don't blame the other 1000 factors.

Any solo traffic that made sales for other can make for you given that you have split tested copy, lander, funnel, CTA, story and 1000 other sales factors

Dawn, I think most will NOT be motivated to reveal the really quality ones as they are a diamond in the rough so to speak

What I do recommend it finding non-conventional Solo Ads. What do I mean ?? You can reach out to other people in your Niche with Websites, Blogs, Lists and strike up some communication with them.

Let them know what you have to offer and how it could benefit them and some of the people on their List. And JV with them and send some Solos to their List in that manner

It's best if you can find individual sellers who offer quality tracking for you to keep stats of (ex: Quality Click Control, ClickMagik, etc). A good site is Reed Floren's site soloaddirectory .com.

I just got started with Leased Ad Space a few days ago and upgraded to their highest level. With my upgrade you can send a solo ad out to their member base every 48 hours.

Lots of clicks after my first solo ad sent which is a good sign. You might want to check out safe list mailer related solo ads Dawn.

    I hope that helps

I am currently learning about Solo Ads through a mentor's course.

There's lots of bad info online about how to make money with Solo Ads. You follow the wrong way's and you end up losing your money. So be careful on what info you follow on this.

On the other hand Solo Ads are a very fast way to build your list quickly, but your funnel has to be operating at peak conversion performance. So you have to test everything until it converts prospects into buyers.

This has been answered so many times in the past

Having said that there are so many cool places to go for solo ads

Solo Ads Directory With Magic Rating. The Best Solo Ads & Clicks. (highly recommended )
    Clickonomy - Email advertising. Redefined.

plus few facebook groups you can join

Solo ad is all about testing different vendors plus your own funnel

It is about breaking even when you go for solo ads and profit in the back end or else you risk loosing your pants

that is why i say when you start do it with small clicks once you get the right combination of the seller plus your offer at the back end

you can make an absolute killing with solo ads.Once you get a bit experienced you can even sense before running an ad whether it will convert or not

I wish you huge success with solo ads

you need to TEST, test, test....

My personal opinion is => buy a solo offer and don't pay too much per click because it is hard to get instant sales back ( and it depends by your follow-ups)

Results for me can be completely different for results for you. There are a lot of factors at stake. First you need to make sure your landing page isn't saturated in the marketplace and you have a decent opt in rate. Second you need to qualify a solo vendor with questions. Your going to give this person your money for a mailing. You need to qualify or interview and make sure your solo vendor has a responsive list interested in what you have.

Just like building a website finding good solo vendors is the same way.

Keep a spreadsheet and all you need is a few good solo vendors and that can keep you busy for a while with different offers and such...

Make sure your product service, works with your solo ads.
Ex. Squeeze Page ( free offer ), sales funnel, good ad content follow up. Then, do split test your ads. To which one performs the best. Upscale ( means: spend more, to get more traffic )rinse, repeat.

Here is some good solo vendors and service.

A lot of people fail with solo ads for the sole reason that they don't realize that the majority of solo sellers sell clicks for the online business/biz opp/make money online niche.

I have built a list of roughly 50K just from solo ads over the past 3 years and all of the sellers I use come from listings in Facebook groups.

I absolutely avoid all click selling sites as I have found that none of the real top quality sellers are listed in there.

I'm not saying that you cannot find good sellers at sites like Udimi, but once I started buying from the Facebook groups from sellers that had testimonials indicating that their buyers had made sales, my solo stats increased considerably.

I started achieving conversion rates of 40% and better and making sales that would almost always cover the cost of the solo.

Once I got real good at it, I began to be able to build my list for free.

This is why I don't bother with any paid traffic like Facebook ads, Bing, etc. My leads cost me hardly any money.

I've never kept track, but if I had to guess, I'd say that each one of my solo ad leads cost me less than .10 overall.

It also depends GREATLY on your landing page.

You need to keep it simple.

I do a compelling headline in large red letters (36 px) and an opt-in form underneath.

You don't want to ask for their name and you want to make sure your list is set to single opt-in. Those two settings alone will greatly improve your conversion rate.

Once you get the hang of it, it's simple.

I promote a CPA offer right after opt-in that pays $85 per sale. So, if I buy 100 clicks for $50 and get a 45% conversion rate (45 opt-ins), I only have to make one sale to cover the cost of the solo and make $35 profit.

If you have a good seller it's almost a guarantee that you will make one sale on 45 opt-ins. Do I always make a sale? No. However, sometimes I make 2, or even 3.

Once you have a good seller, a good landing page, and a CPA offer that converts at 2% or better, you are in the clear.

If you are looking for solo ads in niches outside of the "make money online/biz opp" niche, it is going to be much more difficult. That's if you can even find someone who sells clicks for those niches.

I think it's safe to say that solo ads really only work consistently if you are in the right niche, which is the "MMO/biz opp" niche.

I have always found the best solo ads to be with online publications (ezines, newsletters, blogs) which have reading audiences similar to your targeted demographics. Start by searching ezines+[niche].

Solo ads are a new traffic strategy that I have just started implementing. I have had some good results with UDIMI. I have to mention that I had to try out a few solo sellers before I found one that gets me good results. So trial and error is the name of the game here. I'm learning more about solo ad groups on Facebook and will be trying those sources next.

As I stated in my earlier post, if you want to find the best solo ad vendors, they are in the Facebook groups.

That being said, you also need to be very careful who you buy from in there, because there are certainly a lot of scam artists selling fake clicks. Another practice that goes on quite a bit is called "solo arbitrage." This is when you buy clicks from a seller at a certain price and then that person turns around and buys the clicks from someone else who is selling them a lot cheaper, in turn pocketing the difference. Think of it as being a solo ad "middleman." I absolutely don't condone this practice. It's not fair that the buyer doesn't actually know who is sending them clicks, and if those clicks are any good.

That said, poor solo ad results are often the buyer's fault. A lot of buyers simply don't understand how to be successful with solo ads. They think it's easy. They think all you have to do is slap up a squeeze page, order clicks, and watch the money and leads roll in. Unfortunately that's simple not the case.

You meed to have a certain kind of landing page and funnel, and be in the right niche.

If you are in niches like dog training, paleo diets, credit repair, online dating, or whatever, you won't do well with solo ads.

Solo ads work best for people in the MAKE MONEY ONLINE/ONLINE BIZ OPP niche. 99% of all solo sellers sell clicks for that niche. It's probably higher than 99%, actually. It's probably something like 99.5%.

You also need to have a certain kind of landing page. You will DEFINITELY need a squeeze page that is mobile friendly, and you will need one that is fine tunes for the "make money online" niche. It's also best to ask for email only, and to set your list to single opt-in. A lot of marketers ignore these two factors, and in the process they can lower their conversion rate by 20% or even more.

You need to promote an offer in your funnel that pays for 100 clicks with one sale. For example, if I paid $40 for 100 clicks, then I will want to promote an offer that pays AT LEAST $40 per sale. If I purchased 200 clicks for let's say, $90, then I will want to promote an offer that pays at least $45 per sale ($45 X 2 = $90). The objective here is to make ONE SALE per 100 clicks.

Now, you must remember that 100 clicks does not mean 100 opt-ins. You want to aim for a minimum 40% conversion rate. This means that for every 100 clicks sent to your squeeze page, you should get 40 subscribers. So, that means 40 people will see your offer. You will need to make at least 1 sale per every 40 subscribers in order to break even.

I've been doing this for a while, so my conversion rates are usually a little higher than 40%. I achieve an average of almost 50% on my solo ad buys. This means I get at least 50 new subscribers per every 100 clicks that I buy. That's almost half, which is extremely good.

You can also achieve this. If you are doing everything right, you will be able to do it.

I feel that it's best to promote offers that are a little higher than the cost of 100 clicks. For instance, on the solo I'm about to share with you, I promoted a CPA offer which paid me $85 per sale.

I ordered 200 clicks, and got 215 total. I got a Black Friday deal from one of my regular sellers so I ended up paying .40 per click (he normally charges .50) This means that I paid $80 for 200 clicks. I got 143 new subscribers, which translated into a 66.5% conversion rate, which is excellent.

However, I only made 1 sale. Normally 143 subscribers would produce 2-3 sales. This time it didn't, and the reason is probably because it's the holiday season and people don't have a lot of extra cash lying around. At any rate, I still made $85 from one sale. Since I paid $80 for the solo, this means that I got all 143 subscribers for FREE and made $5 profit. Even if I had paid the regular price of $100 for 200 clicks, I still would have ended up with 143 new subscribers for a total price of $15, or about $0.11 per lead! Not bad!

As you can see, solo ads are not hard once you understand exactly how they work.

    You MUST have:

    1. A squeeze page that converts at 40% or better.

    2. An honest solo ad seller who sends quality list traffic.

    3. A CPA/affiliate offer which covers the cost of 100 clicks per ONE SALE.

One of the best pieces of advice I could give you is to let any prospective solo ad seller take a look at your landing page and ask them to suggest changes that will help you convert better. Most are more than happy to help because they want you to have good results so you will leave a good testimonial and recommend them to others, and also so you will be a return customer.

I hope that clears up how to succeed with solo ads a little bit.

    Hello!

I used to generate traffic from solo ads when I was just getting started. I do not recommend this because first, you do not know what kind of pages that they have been through before heading to your landing page, second you do not know exactly if these traffic are coming from robot in which I also experience this one not real traffic.

The best thing is you need to stand in front of your targeted traffic with the point of intent.Google adwords is the best and highest targeted traffic based on my experience to conversions.

Here's one of my blog post about adwords campaign structure best practices and I hope this help.

    All the best!

I have built a list of 50K subs solely with solo ads, mostly buying from facebook groups.

Solo ad traffic is simply a traffic generation model, just like any other traffic generation.

The only difference is that with a solo ad you can pre-sell: a well written swipe will prepare your traffic for what you have to offer on your landing page, way better than a bing or google or facebook ad, that is after all confined to maybe 200 words in all.
I sell solo ads myself, and for each and every buyer I review her or his landing page and offer and write my emails to best prepare the leads for what they will get when they click on the link and visit the buyers page.

It's my belief that you cannot get more targeted traffic than solo ad traffic. If you find a seller that does it right. And yes, there are a lot of scammers out there but there are also a ton of really great solo ad sellers who will deliver top notch service.

What you should have is a good tracking service in place, but I think that you should have that anyway. Without tracking you'll never know what's happening, what to improve, how to optimize, how to reproduce results or how to scale

What everyone is saying about having a great funnel etc goes for all other forms of traffic as well, that's nothing specific to solo ad traffic. And I have also tried different other traffic generation models and I cannot say that they all were really scam-proof. Buying ads on media buy sites etc is no way of making sure you are getting legit traffic

    Thanks for this Question!
The internet has simplified everything when you understand what you're doing, when you learn to solve other people's(Marketers) problem mainly in this Industry where a big number of Marketers face a problem of traffic generating to their website.

Solo Ads are good but tiresome to get the right platform ,source,so you have to learn how to become your own traffic source after creating a sales funnel connected to your Autoresponder.
How are you going to do this................
    1 create a blog
2 Share ongoing value information with your blog .
3 post value information on social media, forums, press release, comment on other people's blogs, forums mainly those site which are highly ranked.

You don't need chase people, learn how to get those people chasing you

Before you go into solo ads you have to research the seller to make sure you have a match for your product. Find out what other products he has had great results in. See if the sell is a good match to your items you are trying to sell or it will not sell. I have tried solo ads and at first I lost money. Not because the seller was no good it was my product did not match his list. Robert
