Entrepreneur Mag - 7 Tips for Getting More Response to Your Emails

I came across a great infographic recently put out by Entrepreneur Magazine. I fully agree 100% with everything listed (from personal experience), except sending emails at lunch time, as I typically get low traffic at that time. I especially like #2, which you rarely ever see anyone recommend and have been doing it for a long time.

    Thanks for sharing Diablo,
Really cool infographic. Puts down everything in a concise manner into perspective. Actionable and practical tips that actually do get you the results.

Here are the summaries of the items, which I transcribed for my own notes - just in case the infographic goes away.

(Do study the infographic if it's available though. It has useful extra detail, including the justifications of why for each item. Mostly it boils down to "doing this increases conversions.")

    1. Use shorter sentences with simpler words. 3rd grade reading level works best.

    2. Include 1-3 questions in your email.

    3. Make sure you include a subject line! Aim for 3-4 words.

    4. Use a slightly positive or slightly negative tone. Both outperform a completely neutral tone.

    5. Take a stand! Opinionated messages see higher response rates than objective ones.

    6. Write enough, but not too much. Try to keep messages between 50-125 words.

(#7 says "Use Boomerang"!, which apparently is the company that made the infographic.)
