Your site is not loading from my side! As for list building you can use bing ads if you have money to invest, bing ads are cheap and of good quality. If you up to free methods than social media, forum posting, article marketing, video marketing, etc.

    Hi Chris,

Blogging, social media marketing and forum marketing are 3 possible channels to explore.

Blogging can be a real biggie because when you help folks and show off your knowledge they'll want to join your email list.

Use a pop up form. Plus 1 or 2 other opt in forms on your blog. As you are doing.

I'd just make your pop up form more specific. Kinda like, something subscribers can see, and picture, clearly, that inspires them to join your list. I may tease my readers with 1080 HD videos from tropical paradises or free Amazon eBook limited time offers. Something tangible. That'll help boost your list count and it ensures more and more that you'll have a quality list of folks who gobble up what you have to offer, if you stay on topic with your emails.

Create helpful, valuable posts designed to solve your ideal customer's problems. Be generous with helping folks. Over time you will grow your list at a nice and tidy pace.

2500 is a great number. Focus heavily on the quality of the list. If most of your subscribers are genuinely interested in your content you betcha a fair number will grow to know, like and trust you. This trusting crowd will buy your courses or eBooks or will hop on your affiliate offers.

Example; I had a tough time selling a blogging audio course for a minute. I then chopped the price a little bit and sent it out to my email list. Even though my list is small - haven't built it seriously, until now - I tripled my sales. Getting clear on the price cut helped but each person who bought explicitly explained to me how much they love my work, the content I share through my blog and my list, and the help I've offered them.

Yep, these folks loved the audio course too.

As you work toward number goals make your #1 list building intent this: to gain subscribers who are fully clear on what you have to offer them, help-wise, so when you ask for sales, you will generate sales. Quality and quantity, I say, but focus heavily on getting a list of 500 rabid, diehard fan, raving subscribers now, and as you and they help grow the list organically through cross promotion and testimonials, the numbers will increase, and your business will be humming along nicely.

All the best fellow list builder

    Ryan

Blogging + SEO is a great way to build a list if you know what you're doing. If you want to build a list really fast spend some money and buy some solo ads.

    here's my strategy..

First of all - I am pretty sure that once you hit 2500 subscribers you are going to want to continue to grow.
The fastest and easiest way to get to 2500 would be to buy solo-ads. Sure it will require additional investments but once you hit say 2500 you can start doing adswaps where you exchange swaps on a regular basis and continue to grow from there.

Go to Facebook and type "Solo ad testimonials" and you'll find groups that have testimonials from ppl who have bought solo-ads. This is the best place to find solos in my opinion.. just make sure that you ask others in the group about the solo sellers and not just take 1 persons testimonial..

Hey Bro. What ever Niche. Just search in Google, Delicious, Stumble upon for Blog Owners. Contact them for Solo Ads. They would be Having Many thousands of Subscribers. they may charge some thousands to send Solo ads.

But that's worth spending. you will get more subscribers and more sales.

Hi, I would suggest you start with solo ads and after that continue growing your list by blogging, and with social media also, mainly Facebook and Instagram. By the way Instagram is a very great way to use to build a list and get highly target people in your niche, It can be used effectively to grow your list if you know how to use it, currently there are over 500 millions people using Instagram and it is growing very fast...I suggest you take a serious look at Instagram strategy.

Hard work and dedication. Legit articles on your site. Help people out. If they feel you bring legitimate value then they'll be a lot more likely to join your list

    1.Design of the website.
    2.Quality of the website.
    3.Traffic of your website.
4.The type of lead magnet that you have (eBook, course or videos)
5.The Opt-in form type and quality (try using OptinMonster, LeadPages or PopUpDomination).
    6.Responsiveness of your website.
For example, by using Facebook Ads for Leads, you can invest $0.50/subscriber, so your 5,000 list can be created within 1 month with $2,500 or organically in 2 years.

    It's totally up to you.

Create a freebie, a squeeze page and send solo ads - I guess your niche is personal development
split test the squeeze to get higher opt in rates.
You can find solo ads in your niche here: clickdrop.com, soloadmarketplace.com, clickonomy, udimi, maybe facebook, skype groups, maybe solochecker.com
get a good tracker in place
get some nice looking pop ups in place
put opt in forms on facebook

Hi Chris - lots of great feedback here!

The best method I've personally used to grow my mailing list is YouTube. I give away great value (including some detailed information I was considering charging for) and it just keeps on providing me with new signups over and over while I do nothing. Plus the YouTube ad revenue also brings me in a small chunk of cash each year which is a nice bonus!

A little bit more on my experience of providing value on YouTube... I put up a 13 minute video (among a handful of others over time) which gave the basics of a course I was considering charging for, but opted to put it on YouTube instead. Holy cow... my Aweber email signup curve went damn near vertical, and the revenue on my other products followed. To this day it still staggers me just how effective it was!

    Good luck with your project!

  • Well, the size of the list probably shouldn't be your main goal though. A small list of high quality, targeted subscribers is worth so much more than a huge list of low quality leads. Content marketing will always get you the highest quality subscriber (meaning blog posts, videos, etc). Behind that I think PPC is the next best, mostly because you can refine who you are looking for and serve ads to a tighter market. Depending on your offer, you can also get good quality leads through very simple advertising sources like listbuilders/safelists as well.

Paid traffic will never get google slapped, paid traffic will never be unhosted by a hosting provider. Paid traffic can be obtained immediately and scaled up as far as one's bank account can permit. The key though is to have highly targeted paid traffic and to not pay too high a price in either CPC or CPM.
