Time limit on email signups

Our charity has email/newsletter signup details for people from an event. However the dept that has passed on the list has told me that it is from 2013. Is there a time limit (recommended) with signup lists? It seems too long a period to start contacting them.

    Try!

import them in an autoresponder like active campaign, and set an automation to cut off the contacts who not even open the mails in one month.

I mean write a sequence of 30 mails, set them day by day, with content, etc, written in a good copy,
and then set an automation to cut the contacts who wouldnt open even one mail in a month.

You can segment the contacts who wouldnt open a mail to go in another automation, where u set to send a mail with an headline like this "Im going to DELETE YOU from my list, open this mail if you dont want to" and write a body for askin confirmation of the interest to receive newsletters from you

  • It depends on how much time and resources it will cost you to work that list. A fresher list will always be more responsive, but that doesn't mean you can't find some great people from that list. Also, was anyone keeping in regular contact with this list over the last 3 years? That will make a difference too.
