ecig blog - what to do to start building an email list

Hey folks - haven't dropped in for a while (long story).

Anyway, my ecig/personal vaporizer blog is picking up more traffic. I know I need to do something to start building an email list, but I'm totally lost on what to offer or if I should even offer anything beyond notifications of new blog posts.

I just applied for a couple of ecig/ejuice affiliate programs through Shareasale, but I really need to have a list if I'm going to promote stuff beyond just banners on my blog or links in posts.

    It's easy to build a list.

    1. Pick an offer.

    2. Know your audience or let's say "Fish".

    3. Lay a bait to attract the fish (audience)

    4. Ask them to drop into your bucket (Auto-resopnder) if they want the bait.

    Figure out your audience and then create a bait and run traffic to it, it's as simple as that.

    Offer daily, weekly or monthly deals through the newsletter, depending on how often you send it out, along with some sort of special content that is only part of the newsletter, or gives subscribers early access to it.

    You need to create a lead magnet. Maybe write an ebook on the hazards of smoking and how to use ecigs to kick the habit. Maybe talk about how to gradually reduce the nicotene, etc. There are lots of things on this subject. Do some research and you can put together a good lead magnet that would make them want to give up their email address.

      I finally put up an optin using a free ebook, "Vaping for Beginners," as the optin incentive. I compiled 20 of my own blog posts into "chronological" order starting with making the decision to quit smoking through a review of a variety of ecig brands.

      What we in the ecig/vaping industry may to have to deal with, thanks to the Feds, are very possibly NO online sales in the very near future of anything related to the industry.

      So aside from AdSense and "maybe" some quit smoking affiliate products, I'm now at a loss as to how to monetize the blog unless or until the Feds loosen up.

      But in the meantime, I do have an optin now for building an email list.

    I don't know your target market at all, but people are the same regardless. Everyone wants to save money on things they like, get something they want for free, feel like they're part of something secret or special, easily find answers to their problems, be the first to have/know the newest stuff, etc. If you can incorporate one or more of these into an offer your target market is attracted to, you shouldn't have any trouble getting subscribers.

    Hi, you can do this by simple two way.
    1) You can offer ebook, it could be about benefits of e-cigarettes or e-liquid.... something like this
    2) Assign someone lead generation expert. He will build a list of targeted audience. Oh, if you haven't enough time.
