How do I do this?

I have made a list with over 1000 businesses (medium to large) that I wanna target and sell my service to.

I´ve sent out a sales letter to about 500 so far, and I´ve actually had SOME sucess. Got 3 callers back within two months, and I´m pretty sure at least one of them got the mail and found it interesting because they said "hello, we read your mail and we´re interested bla bla.."

But since they are cold mails I have no idea how many actually gets to the recipent. My mail was sent from one.com mail service. It was an image in the mail with mostly text but also some graphics.

Should I try to start from the top now (couple months later) and send out mails with written text (html) instead? Are there any tools I can track my cold mails with?

Any advice?

I feel like emails should be my number 1 card, but I have really no idea on what to do..

You're going to want to start using a real email marketing program like Aweber, MailChimp, Constant Contact, etc.

correct, you need different companies, one that lets you upload your list, without
making any fuzz about it. There are quite a few, i list some in my report.

It's in the follow up! You can start from the top for the other 500, but be sure to follow up at least 3 or 4 more times with the first 500.

I know I'm veering away from your question, but Social selling is the way I would tackle this one...cold emails have about as much use as a cold call, they just don't work anymore. I would identify the key decision makers within each company through LinkedIn and start getting on their radar. Invite them to connect on LinkedIn and really start building a relationship through content creation/curation (specifically tailored towards them) liking/commenting on their posts, offering value and really showcasing who you are and what you can offer. Once you have gotten on a good handfuls radar (I call this a 'luke warm lead'), then you can send them a message inviting them to have a conversation. I know it sounds like a lot more work than just firing off blank emails, but once you get in the routine of making this a daily habit, within a few weeks, you should start to see more conversions than you'll know what to do with (if your product or service is in fact valuable and great.) Also make sure to have a highly optimized profile focusing on the benefits and value of your product/service - Good luck!
