eMail template help please...

Hi guys/gals...

I'm running a WP autoresponder and the editor in it sucks. I would like to create a template to use in it and just paste the HTML inside the code view tab area.

Can someone guide me here?

If I design a template with a header and two column table (well three with header at top), when I place the HTML code in it, will I still be able to fill in my wanted text when I switch from code view to visual?

Or is there a better way?

Thank for your help everyone,
John

The best way would be to edit this on a code editor in your local machine, then go testing on a web browser until you find your desired result.

Of course, you would like to test this on an email client, to compare if it is showing the same result as in your web browser.

I'd suggest you to try Foundation Framework email templates for a better start.

Let me know of your progress on this.

One thing to keep in mind, that outlook doesn't fully support CSS and HTML, so unless you can test your email you next best bet is to use css framework that is designed to create an email which will work everywhere.

Something like Foundation framework for emails should do the trick.

    Issue resolved... silly me...

For anyone else wanting to know, just design an html page and paste the html code into the code area of your AR design area.

    Thanks ail,

I second using Foundation for emails. Just creating an HTML page is not really the answer. You need to have an email that is mobile responsive and also looks great and auto adapts to the screen viewing the email. Also you need to inline your CSS. Many readers cut out CSS in the head. Foundation for emails helps with this.

They also have several templates to get you started.

You need to post the HTML content in the allotted field of your AR. That should solve the problem
