How do you build your list?

Ok, so I see you seem to know the technical parts of setting it up... good!

So this is the how to build a targeted list:

1. You have to define a niche or a target market you want to serve first.

You want to go narrow... ex. if you target a niche such as weight loss that is to
wide. Go 1 step narrower ... Weight loss for women ... 1 step narrower: Weight loss for women over 50.

Now you are on to something... you can find where those women over 50 hang out and get to read about what they struggle with the most.

It will be much easier to write effective emails and make an optin bribe for them, when you know what they are struggling with the most.

So now you are targeting a targeted group of people with a problem they desperately want to get solved. Hope that makes sense.

2. Landing Page with optin bribe that solves their most pressing problem

Ok, so in the example above... you might find out that women over 50 wanting to
lose weight want to do it, because they are afraid to get a heart attack ( I'm just making all this up to make a point... you go and do the research)

If so... you can easily put up a landing page where you give away a free report
specific to their challenge.... " The best way for Women over 50 to avoid heart problems and lose 10 pounds in 40 days "

Hence... you got a targeted subscriber!

Another way is to subscribe to top marketers and see how they communicate with you. Learn by observing.

Just find a good people to work with and build one good membership site- with some fancy bonus offer for high converting ratio of niche subsc....
There is a 1.000 ways .. I just pick few of them..

You can build up an email lists by using your gated assets like offering free eBooks ,webinars etc. But make sure the access to these assets are only made possible when a visitor enters his/her email address. Through this you will build up genuine organic list that will last for a longer period of time. But of course before that you have to work on your content representation so that people find it attractive to proceed further with your business.

offering free books and webinars are best way to build a list. You can also build an email list using facebook targeted ad marketing as it has become the most effective trend to bring targeted traffic to any landing page......

I just collect emails from the newsletters and some of the classifieds sites with the same niche as mine

I personally build my list via my auto-responder using "sendlane" service. With my strategies i generate over 2,000 leads/day.

I use a lead generation service....No need for expensive Adbuy, solo ads etc

My core business is generating leads for financial verticals. Which I use 3rd party data to build openers / clickers lists. I've been doing this for over 16 years now.

I would suggest buying a course that will help you do this. There are many free ones, which can be just as good. But I believe that those who pay, pay attention. So, purchase one. Make sure it's from someone who knows what their taking about.

Also, I've built up many different substantial lists over the years using opt-in squeeze pages. By offering free products or information. It's on thing to build your list, but it's another thing altogether to know how to engage with your list to make sales. So getting a product to teach you with both the building the list and engaging with your list would be ideal.
