Pick a niche and then find someone who has a fat list in it that needs help with emailing.

A good ways to get people to contact you is create a thread where you teach mass emailing. People will start PMing you like mad, asking if you can email their list and do rev share.

As good as it may sound getting an instant bulk list of email address to market your products is not a good way to do it. Most likely people who will get an email from you, especially those not interested in the product you offer, will most likely delete your email or tag it as spam. It's a good way to send emails but it won't guarantee you a stable income or profit from it.

I agree, it's not a good way to do email marketing. What I can suggest though is for you to focus on your website visitors, they visit your website for a reason and might as well take advantage of it. Create an awesome landing page with an option to subscribe and make sure you give them a reason to do so. Some benefits make include promotional offers, related news to your niche, and more.

The way that I convert the data into cash producing assets is by promoting lead generation offers. With lead gen offers there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a shirt form, so conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require a sale to be made.

The above is big business. Anyone that knows what they are doing can do multiple 6-7 figures. However if all anyone did was promote offers that were purchase offers, it would be much harder to hit those numbers. At least for the average marketer.

Just a suggestion, if you use a comment box for your blog posts or article make sure that it has an option to include the commenter's email address and from there you can get relevant email list from those who are really into your product. Bulk emails for me do not really give out that much, personally, when I receive unsolicited emails it gets automatically deleted and if it's really persistent it goes to junk.

I'm not sure what your area is but in most cases I think it's better to generate some sort of lead magnet and get your email addresses that way.
Things like an eBook, a competition or some other incentive for people to sign up are a much more successful way to get addresses in bulk. This way aswell, you'll also notice that when you send emails in the future, you'll have far less unsubscribes and much more chance of making a sale.
The problem with buying a big list is that while the numbers are there, your first email will be marked as spam which could go against you for the rest of your business. I'm in no way an expert on this, and each to their own but it seems to me that you're better off getting email addresses that are genuine and more likely to lead to sales rather than buying them outright.
There is so much spam and junk email being sent these days that if people don't recognise your name in their inbox you'll just be deleted straight away anyway. Seems like a real waste of time to me.
There are lots of things you can put into place to encourage people to 'sign-up' with you and I'd say that will be your best bet here. Save your money and spend it on creating a valuable campaign!

I have not tried bulk emailing but I can suggest that you take a look at these websites: Caldwell-list (offers opt-in email lists), Sales-lead.org (business mailing lists), and DirectMail.com (different forms of mailing lists).
