Is e-mail marketing still relevant?

There are many people who are determined to make us believe that e-mail is generally dead, that is no longer used, but that's not entirely true. We have to consider the fact that many business related matters are still engaged to e-mail and we must look at it at least once a day, one way or another.

Well done e-mail marketing campaign can help us promote our business and give us an important visibility, but for that, we need to create newsletters appropriate to the goal we want to achieve.

To start running an e-mail marketing campaign we need, apart from having a database of potential customers who have subscribed to our newsletter accordance with the Law on Data Protection, have a designed newsletter that will seem very attractive to our potential customers.
For this reason, before running any campaign or even keep using e-mail marketing, we cannot help but wonder is e-mail marketing still relevant? Yes, it is.
Here are some of the facts and main reasons that clearly make us see the importance of this tool:

4.3. billions of e-mail accounts send 196 billion e-mail daily
This statistic is shocking and clearly demonstrates that the use of this communication method is not dead and is still very present in daily lives of regular customers. This statistic exceeds Google searches and posts made on social networks by far.

91% of people check their e-mail daily
Out of 95% of people who use Internet daily, 91% checks their e-mail accounts at least once a day. Whether it is for direct communications, many confirmations that we need to complete through e-mail or any other reasons, e-mail keeps its place on the top.

E-mail is a channel that belongs to you
While social networks and online search engines use algorithms with new entries indexed and somehow decide who can be seen and who cannot, e-mail marketing is a channel that belongs to you and it did not change over. We can still talk 1 to 1 with the person we are sending an e-mail to and nobody else can see it except the precipitants.

77% of people prefer communication via e-mail
It is important to be able to capitalize from this information and communicating with your customer by the method they prefer.

E-mail provides personal communication
You can send very specific messages to a certain amount of people you've segmented with a high degree of customization

E-mail marketing has a 4300% ROI Marketing
The most successful companies still use e-mail as the main channel because they get on average 4300% ROI.

Summing up all these statistics, we can conclude that e-mail marketing is not only still relevant but it keeps growing instead. According to the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), 76% of specialists use e-mail marketing more than they did three years ago.

Allowing your sales opportunities combined with useful and relevant content, it will help build a relationship with your customers, which helps when putting you on a position of consultant helping to solve the problems of your customers.

For only a few pennies, email can drive traffic to your storefront or Website
It's six to 12 times less expensive to sell to an existing customer than to a new one

Yes, email marketing is still relevant and very much effective. I believe it will remain so for the next several years. Regardless of which email marketing software you use, it will be effective, for so lang that it is used correctly and properly. There are a number of best practices that need to be followed in order to meet goals and objectives of a specific email campaign. Email marketing platforms are here to help us create and deliver these campaigns. Choosing the right software for each individual or organization all depends on the specific goals set for that campaign. I use ActiveTrail. It may not be as popular as other ESPs, but it does what I need it to do.

That's the only way through which a startup IMer can ever dream of to reach his/her audience. Without it you are just an accessibility . That's it. The main thing is how good you are at developing your content to engage with your potential clients. People love marketers that always brings something unique to share whether its business or not. Email marketing is like a digital relationship with a dude on the other end whom you have never met but respect for what he/she is delivering.

Yes, email marketing is still effective because:
    1) You do not have to separately pay for traffic once you have captured a sizable number of email addresses.
    2) You can develop a connect with your subscribers and establish a relationship with them.
    3) The conversion rates can be encouraging with email marketing.
    4) You can track the metrics like open rate and click rate and optimize accordingly.
    5) You learn about the behavior of your subscribers and you can improve/ enhance your efforts every time.

I have been using email since the late 90's. It's not going anywhere.

Even large businesses use it. I don't know how many times I go shopping for clothes and shoes with my wife and at the cash they ask her for her email.

    They can then send promotions.

    Smart marketing.

Social networks may come and go but I think email is here to stay.

[ EMAIL MARKETING IS THE ONLY ASSET YOU WILL HAVE ]

What are the people who dont open the mails? Underage teens, too old people, and
    people against internet/etc,

THESE PEOPLE WOULD NEVER BE YOUR CUSTOMERS.

    Even without mails.

If a person is older enough but not too much, has a job and money to spend, surely
    he opens the mail.

If you have job, pay bills, and u are suscribed to something in internet, you have a mail.

So E-Mail is the principal source of communication in Internet: facebook etc are for
lookin other's people money business, or to create engagement.

Email LIST is the ONLY ASSET: adsense can ban u, facebook ads can ban u, but once you
have an email list, IT'S YOURS.

So the main problem of people who's saying that emails are dead is: THEY DIDNT BUILD A LIST
IN A PROPER WAY. or at least they dont have any list at all.

If you are not capable of building a list of loyal subscribers who are really aware of what they will receive from u, the problem is not email marketing, the problem is your skills.

So Email Marketing still be the King, and yes, the money still be on the list!

The key to success with email marketing, and this is NOT theory is to:

Get new and fresh subscribers on a daily basis.

I know of one guy who makes $1,000's every single day IN PROFIT but he also gets anywhere between 500-2000 new leads every day.

We all know the crazy ROI email generates. $38 for every dollar spent. Email beats social by 40x for customer acquisition. The world has gone mobile and so has email. Email opens on mobile grew 30%. Its cheap, effective and a direct channel to your target audience. Increase conversions with segmentation, a/b testing, responsive templates, personalization, etc. Email is alive and kicking with a bright future ahead.
