In most product launch sequences....

Do you begin with the first email after someone subscribes with the beginning of your sequence?

Or do you give them a few emails before you begin?

    We begin with the first email. The first moment we interact with our subscribers is very important. We need to get them hooked right then and there. However, we don't normally pitch a sale on the first email. We usually warm them up for about 3 emails, and then we make the pitch on the 4th email, when we are sure that we got their attention and interest.
