Which email marketing site to choose for me?

Hi fellow warriors,

I am going to launch a site with apps in the near future. I have been gathering emails of fanclubs and looking to send a lot of mails to these.
I done some reading on Mailchimp but I am a bit lost here.
On the Mailchimp articles they are talking about subscribers but I am not looking for subscribers here, I just want to mail these fanclubs and not get into the spam mail folder.

Should I be using Mailchimp or is another service easier? I do not know anything about coding.

You can read an example email further down. Is this email good enough or is it to spammy? I am going to send thousands of emails. I think under 10 000. How do I know if the emails are accurate? There might be a fanclub that no longer is running.

"We are looking for editors for Rihannas page on blabla

How are you getting the data?

Sounds like you are scraping it. Mailing scraped data isn't can-spam compliant and you are likely to collect a bunch of spam traps / bounces. Which will get you account terminated quickly.

You could have the data cleaned by a list hygiene service, but that's not going to eliminate the risk completely.

Mailchimp requires all uploaded data to be sent a conformation message, before you can send them anything. So, everyone will have to opt-in (confirm) before your marketing messages are sent. I never use mailchimp, for this reason alone.

      Hi Diablo,

      Thank you for your answer!

What do you mean by scraping? I am taking the contact emails from fanclub websites and fb-sites. Is that what you mean by scraping?

What kind of email hygiene service do you recommend?

What I want to do is to inform the fanclub of my site and apps.

Not true! I have imported subs to mailchimp - if I tick the box: This person gave me permission to email them
then no confirmation message will be sent.

      I done this hundred times

I would suggest grabbing an autoresponder service and set up a page for everyone to sign up. Ask all these contacts on FB or wherever, to join your list from that site. Then you legitimately can launch with everyone who signed up.

      Thanks for you answer!

Do you have a recommendation of what autoresponder service to use?
Do these autoresponder services provide pages to set up?

I use rocket responder because it is a flat fee. They do not set up squeeze pages. You can make some pretty easily with Instant Squeeze Page Generator. They also provide gifts and it is all hosted on their end if you want... Free Service for the squeeze pages, 20 a month for rocket responder

These people are going to get annoyed if you send them emails without their permission. This is not the way to go.

You want people to subscribe to your list and knowing that they are on YOUR list.

I am not sure how to do that. To even know about my list I have to market my website.

That is what I want to do through emailing these fanclubs with their specific artist in the subject row.

I sent some questions to Sendland support and answered 10 questions. They sent me this back:

"Unfortunately at this time we will not approve your import. The reason is because you do not have the opt-in information (i.e. time stamps and IP addresses of your subscribers) We need this information to fight against false Spam complaints. Without this kind of proof our email servers could get black listed. "

Since I have gathered the emails from fanclubs websites and facebook pages in the Contact Us or About section I don't have the information they need.
How can I get that information when I am only using websites and fb-pages to get it?

Will this work with an autoresponder service?
Should I pay to clean up the list?

I am a biiiiiiit lost to say the least! :-)

If you want to generate Blog traffic you either need to get a website (recommended) or host a blog at something like Blogger.com. There are lots of ways to get traffic to your blog. You can share it on social media, like Facebook, Pinterest or Twitter etc... As long as you have great keyword rich content people are going to want to see it and share it.

      Hi Sam,

Thank you for your video answer!

Does this apply even though I have used their Contact Us emails from the websites?
Also, what I "offer" is definitely related to what their fanclub is all about.
