Cart Recovery/Avandoned Checkout Emails

EMAIL MARKETING

Hi,

I'm setting up cart recovery emails. As of now, when people abandon their checkout they will automatically receive an email reminder with items in their cart after 1 hour, a second reminder after 12 hours, and a third reminder after 24.

Do you think that's too many emails?

I would shorten the first reminder to go out after 10 to 15 minutes or 30 at the latest. The other intervals seem pretty decent

The first reminder on didn't complete order should go out immediately when leave your checkout, the other ones are fine, but would add one for also few days later and special offer to act now because at time could of came down to finances or other situation. Make sure recap the day were there, the product and key benefits as well.

I agree with the others. Right away or at the latest 10 minutes then 12 and 24 hours. I would say if you could include a note on why they would be missing out, that would be a good way to bring them back. If the price was special or the features of the items they were about to grab... those things would be ideal in reminding them why they started the checkout process. If the cart is saved so they can log back in and just finish that would be the best, especially if they could resume the cart from a link in your email

No it is not too many. Three is a key number. You will overall a higher conversion from sending the third email rather than just sending two.
